It is best to visit your vet when you see this to see what is causing the issue and what you can do to help prevent it. Both this and the skin condition above can be really serious. If you are concerned about this being the issue for your Golden Retriever, you need to get assistance right away. The only way to deal with them is with the help of your vet and they can provide antibiotics and other great options to keep your dog safe and comfortable. Never let these conditions continue on. Doing so will make the situation a whole lot worse. Can the Skin Color Go Back? This will depend on the dog and how long the skin condition went on. There are some situations, when they are caught early enough, where the Golden Retriever can get their normal skin tone back, or can at least lighten up some of the dark spots that are on their stomachs.
