Collected the puppy on March 26th from breeder's premises and transported the dog from the breeder premises in Ohio to my home in NJ, in a car that had never carried any animal before. Dog was only allowed out for feeding and to relieve itself in isolated areas along the highway between Ohio and NJ, away from people and animals. Dog was brought to a home that had not had any animals present for at least 3 years. Parvo virus is highly contagious and spreads through direct contact with an infected dog or by indirect contact with a contaminated object. Parvo has a minimum 3 days incubation before symptoms. Our puppy began presenting Parvo virus symptoms early hours March 29th. We are advised by numerous professionals including multiple independent vets and ASPCA coordinators that it's inconceivable the puppy would have contracted the virus in our home or in isolated areas beside a roadway. Thus, leaving the breeding facility as the only reasonable source of the dog's virus, given that at the facility, our puppy would have been surrounded by other dogs, leashes, bowls and sleeping areas, as well as people constantly in contact with animals and facilities with high exposure to potential carrier animals. At this point, the person gets to choose the puppy they want and it is noted on our website. Once You Pick… Once you have chosen your puppy, it will not be long until you can take your puppy home. When the pick-up date gets close, I will send out a sign up sheet for you to pick a time that works for you to come and get your baby. This will be when your pup is between the ages of 8 and 9 weeks. Puppies have to go to the vet for a full exam when they hit 8 weeks. Until this is completed, the puppies cannot go to their new homes. List Order We have our waiting list set up on a first-come-first-serve basis. That means that your name is in the order in which you applied for the waiting list. Even if you sign up for one gender, you are allowed to change your mind. When it comes time for you to choose your puppy, you can choose any available puppy. If you are set on having a male or a female puppy and there are no puppies of that gender available, you will move to the following litter. If you choose to be moved to the next available litter, your name will still move up the list. The person receiving the puppy can pick from the next litter using a gift certificate. This does not mean that they are all waiting for the next litter. When a litter is confirmed, those on the list are contacted and puppy interest is confirmed. If a person chooses to wait until the next litter, the following person on the list is contacted. As puppies are chosen by those on the list, their names will be removed from the list.
