By only breeding from suitable parents, we give puppies the best possible chance at a healthy life. When you buy a Labradoodle pup, both parents should have had hip and elbow checks, and a basic eye test. They should have genetic testing for progressive retinal atrophy — an inherited cause of blindness common in both Labs and Poodles.
