Our kids were in middle school when we got her from you in .Today they are young adults living on their own, but what our dog has brought to their life and ours is indescribable. The obvious joy and love the dog expresses for our kids every time they come home is so beautiful to watch. Today Besa is 14 and we still call her puppy. As so many dogs have, she has truly enjoyed the pandemic and spends every day sleeping in a bed in the office both my wife and I work from. In general, Besa is still in excellent health but is not immune from aging. She has some bladder leakage when she sleeps and has had a heart murmur for many years. We feel so incredibly blessed to have her as part of our lives and will treasure every day we get to spend with her. I'll add yet another thank you to the mountain of them you have received. You have bred such beautiful dogs, and we are deeply grateful for Besa. Thank you Gail! She is such a wonderful puppy!! She is so calm and so snuggly and so beautiful!! She is such a joy!! A little less than a year after my last blog post, I lost my husband and Calypso Breeze Co-founder, Jerry, to cancer. It was, for the most part, very sudden and set my world into a tailspin. There have been many ups and downs and trials and triumphs in the years since, but the constant has been that Calypso Breeze remains a huge part of my life. In the first months after Jerry passed, life, of course, was extremely difficult. I'm not sure what I would've done without the love- and distraction- of my crazy doodles. They're sweet and silly, kind and goofy, sometimes exasperating, but ALWAYS entertaining, and most importantly, they're loving. They have, most likely, held me together and they've definitely made me stronger. THIS is why I've continued on my journey of breeding these incredible dogs. It is essential to teach your doodle restraint without breaking its spirit. Easier said than done, I agree, but this is a breed that is easy to train. The bonus- they are intelligent and eager to please. The Labradoodle is a boisterous pet and requires some daily physical activity to help it expend energy. Walking is a great way to build its strength and help it socialize with other animals and people. It can calm an over excited Labradoodle and even help stop a Labradoodle that likes to chase your cat. Exercising your Labradoodle is part and parcel of taking good care of it. Remember that this is a breed with boundless energy. So, the more you exercise them, the less likely they are to be bored or destructive Your Labradoodle should be made to follow a schedule from the beginning. Labradoodle puppies are very energetic and need minutes of activity daily. This will, to some extent, help in exerting their energy. For a LabradoodleYou can combine minutes of walk with 10 minutes of a fun game of catch twice a day to help burn up their pent up energy. A daily walk is also an excellent way to bond with your pup. Remember to consider the age of your pet while deciding on an exercise routine. Compared to a puppy, a young adult will need more vigorous exercise.
