We are located in New Durham, New Hampshire. We have been in business for 11 years. Because of our love for American Bulldogs, we want to breed great companions and provide them a forever home. However, most are a hybrid mix between the two bloodlines. We do this in order to bring out the best in both. We also enjoy the many different shapes, sizes and colors this breed comes in. We have established a fourth generation Morrison's American Bulldog bloodline, with no future plans to retire. The American Bulldog is a descendant of a generic bulldog type of dog breed brought into the region that is now the Southern United States by working-class immigrants many years ago. These were all-around working dogs used by small farmers and ranchers for several tasks around the farm. They were often found working as catch dogs, stock dogs, and overall farm guardians. When feral pigs were introduced to the New World, they had no natural predators and the population quickly grew out of control. In addition to their farm duties, the settlers found the bulldog-type dog to be the best solution they had for dealing with it. So, the bulldog continued to thrive, especially in the South. We chose the Shepinois name for it's simplicity. But they are truly the best of both breeds. They typically have the physical characteristics of the Malinois, they tend to be flat coated with a fawn or mahogany coloring with a a dark overlay. The weight for a female is typically pounds and a male is pds. They have the extreme good health and orthopedics of the malinois as well. They have the athleticism of the Malinois, but not the extreme drive. They are good natured and have the general disposition of a German shepherd. They tend to be a little more level headed like the German shepherd. They are not as overly active as the malinois and they are much easier to live with as a house pet. They make for an excellent family dog and companion, but also a great protection dog or competition dog. They are a loyal and devoted companion. They are good with children; they do well with other animals. They are very affectionate and love to be the center of attention. They thrive in a family environment and are very protective of their home and family. They love to travel and be a part of any activity that involves their family. They are very quick to pick up anything and tend to train at the level of a malinois. They are more like the malinois in their training ability and pick up any type of training very quickly. They also have the tenacity of the malinois and can work for long periods of time without becoming winded. They need daily exercise not only to stay healthy, but to burn off energy. Belgian Malinois are intelligent, protective, playful, and energetic. They tend to make great family pets. Should a Belgian Malinois Mix take after this parent, you should be able to expect something similar. A Belgian Malinois is known for their intelligence and prized for their hardworking nature and protective instinct. Their high energy and playful personality means they tend to retain a puppy-like demeanor until they are about three years old. They get along well with children as well as other dogs and pets in the household as long as they are socialized with them. Because of their protective instinct, socialization and training early and often are particularly important. The other parent breed could introduce some potential traits that could affect temperament. So, you do want to ask the other breeder about them. A mixed-breed dog can sometimes win the genetic lottery and inherit none of the potential health conditions common to either parent breed. At the same time, they could inherit potential conditions common to one parent or both parent breeds. From the Belgian Malinois side, potential health concerns include hip dysplasia, thyroid disease , and progressive retinal atrophy. Reputable breeders will screen their stock to avoid passing issues on to puppies. Although the Belgian Malinois is highly intelligent and picks up on things easily, they are also high-energy dogs with an independent nature and a strong will. I am sure as a young man he never dreamed he would be working full time putting up fences, taking care of a mini farm or grooming a Standard Poodle. Not only has he hung right in there and learned a lot from my daddy, he truly loves his new farm life. Blake will still runs errands like picking up dog food and other supplies if needed. He will also transport a puppy to the airport to be shipped and does a lot of our personal regional puppy deliveries as well. In Blake became EMS certified, which has come in handy occasionally here at the farm and in our home. Blake is a very soft spoken, quiet and mellow blessing in my life. Simple things we do together bring certain tranquility to my life that I have come to treasure. I cannot imagine loving any one more and I thank God every day for blessing me with a husband and an amazing father to our son, like Blake. He is has spent several years being a builder so his expertise in the construction of our facility has been irreplaceable. Luckily for my dad, we have been able to bring on two amazing young men who have taken over the very difficult and labor intensive duties that my he did in the beginning. Before my sister Holley decided to return to showing horses, my brother-in-law Brian could always be counted on to help when there was manual labor to be done. Brian puts on an air that he is not interested in the Poodles, but we know different and have caught him many times in the act of cuddling our Standard adults and babies! He loves the puppies too! He and my daddy would sometimes disappear for a couple of hours leaving us to tend to the canine members of our family and a while they will walk out on the back porch and yell, letting us know that our dinner is ready. We make our way to the house and walk into a meal of grilled chicken, steak or ribs with all the fixings. We can count on any one of the three to make us smile. Of course they are men and we are women, so they will make us cry from time to time. My little brother Luke and nephew Scott have always lent a helping hand. They love working with their daddies. They are like little men taking all the responsibilities assigned to them quite seriously. They both love to hunt with my daddy. Now that Scott is a teenager he works right along side with his dad at the tire shop he owns, Woodruff Tire, and can be seen driving a tractor around their farm. Luke has become a great helper here on our farm. When anybody needs a helping hand he is the one that always volunteers first. Luke can also be found out in the maintenance shop helping his dad change oil in our vehicles and farm equipment and sharping the blades for the lawn tractors. We never know what they will be into next. But he did such a good job we offered him a full time position which he graciously accepted. He keeps all of our water troughs, tubs and pools clean and disinfected. Our Standard adults have free feeding available at all times and Cody keeps all the feeders clean and inspected for bugs as well as keeping them filled with feed. This is not a hard job to do, but a hard job to do well! It takes up a lot of time. Cody helps Zack in the well care of our horses and keeps the stalls and barn clean. We concentrated on the two conformations of Standard Poodles. The Standard Poodle Club of America is, of course, made up of humans. They are pretty special, amazing and dedicated humans. They write the standards for the breed, and the standard has to some extent changed the original look and purpose of the Standard Poodle. Our primary goal is to enrich the very small gene bank of the Standard Poodle pedigrees, which is and will continue to be the best weapon against genetic disorders. Tracing lines back as far as I could, learning the ins and outs not only for my knowledge but so that I was informed, prepared to go over every detail with you, to answer the questions that sometimes you don't even ask. Then there's years of watching your puppies parents grow. Loving them and enjoying them as part of my family. Taking them every where I can, training them, socializing them, watching how they fill out. Asking myself I had made the right choice in both of them. Scrutinizing their conformation, how they move, and their temperament. There was the stress of health testing. Praying not only that my babies were healthy but that they had the genes to make your baby healthy. Finally came the time to put your puppies parents together. For the next 63 days I worried, I obsessed, I grew excited. I watched your puppies mom like a hawk. Making sure my baby was ok, monitoring her diet better than I do my own. Concerned that she was getting enough of the right nutrients and that your growing baby was getting the best start possible. I spent hours on the couch, floor, and dog bed with her watching her tummy grow and anxiously waiting. As your baby and mine grew I laid my hands on her tummy and felt the first movements of your puppy. As the time grew close I spent most nights in the nursery with her. Making sure she didn't go into labor without me knowing, in case something went wrong and one of our babies needed help. When labor started my whole life stopped. I spent every second with her. Your baby was born into my hands and I held my breath as I cleaned them up, watching for movement and breathing, cleaning them up, checking them over, and wondering if you'd love them as much as I already did. I helped your babies brother when mom got tired and he was stuck. I cried when your babies sister didn't make it. For the first 8 weeks most of my life was filled with your baby. Watching them grow and making sure I was doing everything possible to make sure they started their lives the right way. Making sure each one was getting enough to eat, enough socialization time, that they were de-wormed and given their shots. I was the first person they saw when they opened their eyes. I spent my weeks playing with them and keeping them safe. I searched for you and interviewed you. As you spoke I tried to read your character. Would you love them as much as I do? When we bought Tyke, we did not have any breeding plans. But Tyke grew to be an athletic and healthy French Bulldog. Every now and then we participated in dog shows. Because Tyke exercised a lot in agility we decided to x-ray him. It became clear that he also looked good on the inside! Then everything started. Tyke was asked to be bred. My interest in the breeding world became larger and larger, as did my hunger to knowledge. During my hunt for information it became clearer and clearer to me that the road many breeders have gone was nothing for us. Information was not shared, and often the motives to breed are not in favor of the health of the dogs, or the breed overall. In Memoriam: Quinta Arount that time Quinta got worse. The consequences of her uninterested breeders became more obvious. Quinta was 8 years old and she could not run for an extended period of time. Halfway through our daily long walk she needed help. She could not keep up anymore. Quinta had a bad spine, wich is a big problem within the French Bulldogs. Because of her many litters and maybe collateral calcium insufficiency the condition of her spine was even worsened. On the day of her ninth birthday she lost control over her back legs. With pain killers and excercising she could be with us for a few more weeks. After that she relapsed. We had to euthanise her. I am still very grateful for all that Quinta has given us. She made us fall in love with French Bulldogs. Because of her I have a lot more insight in the abnormalities that occur within the breed. Breeding with wrong motives and to not look out for the best interest of the dog. It is terrible to see your beloved dog like this. I hope no other dog has to feel the pain that she must have felt during her whole life. She has been the biggest motivation in my passion to help the breed get better and healthier. If they are not approved, you will not get an FCI pedigree. My puppy had to endure 12 hours on rough seas instead of a quick flight. They didn't even bother to check the puppy into the boat's kennels, instead leaving him unsupervised in a van all night secreted on board and undeclared, ie unpaid for. The mother and daughter team thought it was hilarious that the puppy was being aggressive and difficult to handle and offered no help, they just laughed. Erhan 01 August I am going to take my time and write this review to warn people about Tasmanian Labradoodles and this is unfortunately not going to be a good one to read. I applied to get my Puppy a few months ago and to be honest one of the mistakes I have done is to rush into getting one. Reason being, I wanted my parents who were visiting from overseas to meet my new family member before they left to go back home. I have contacted Tasmanian Labradoodles several times during the application, before I paid, after I paid, to get every single information during this process I had to contact them, not once in the process they have contacted me, not once… I still went ahead and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Finally my puppy was due to travel to Sydney from Tasmania on the date they notified me but little one had a diarrhoea, so he wasn't fit to travel and I had to wait for another week until his diarrhoea was settled which I was fine with. The day I went to pick my first puppy from the airport was the most exciting part but then it was all a disaster in the weeks coming. He arrived in a crate. He was very stressed and shocked as I would understand this was a long flight for him. He still had diarrhoea in the following days. He wasn't a usual puppy. He wasn't too happy, sleeping all day which I know is a natural puppy behaviour for them to be sleeping all day but this didn't look too normal to me. He looked lethargic and not very playful. Each day after a week with very little improvements we went for his first Vet visit and it went downhill from there onwards. Doctor was very concerned about his stomach and wanted to Xray his intestines for a possible blockage of anything he might have swallowed. X Ray results were not too promising and he was sent home after spending 4 hours at the Vet with diet plan and Pro-Kolin for his diarrhoea. I emailed Tasmanian Labradoodle and informed them about the unfortunate results of his first visit at the Vet, until today No Response whatsoever. To cut the story short, two days later I had to rush him to the emergency animal hospital in Sydney at 12 midnight because he didn't stop vomiting and diarrhoea. After a few ultrasound doctors decided he had to be operated on at 3am in the morning. Not prepared for the worst outcome, I didn't get pet insurance lack of experience of a first time puppy owner. I had no choice. It was intense and very stressful for 4 weeks, day and night. I asked the doctors to do all genetic tests in case this is somehow related to his parents and few other tests to see if this is something I possibly caused or this is from breeders neglected nature. There were nothing stuck in his intestines but severe infection caused by diarrhoea. His pavo results turned out positive from the tests and few other test results like DNA and blood tests were positive but whilst him being at the hospital for 4 days he has been treated for all the viruses. Doctors were shocked to hear that the breeder hasn't contacted me once or informed me about anything during this whole process. Little one just settled and now he is a puppy that we all know, I am in love with him and I will do anything to keep him safe and healthy. Just wanted to share my unfortunate experience with anyone who wants to own a puppy from Tasmanian Labradoodles and as a business owner myself I am hoping this will be a useful feedback for them to be extra careful with the way they do business and not forget they are selling living creators who their lives and health matters. I don't want to speculate about this any longer than it is but after taking some legal advice from my lawyer and gather doctor reports from VSOS Sydney I will do the right thing and take this further.
