In the Germany, in the late 's a Boxer was paired with a mixed dog that was part Bulldog and part Schnauzer. The resulting litter had puppies that had black coats. Since another breed was introduced into the bloodline, they were not purebreds. These dogs were not used for any further breeding and therefore did not have any influence on genetics going forward. Once in a while there will be a breeder that claims to have black Boxers and will point to this one incident long ago as evidence that black does indeed run in the bloodline. Top of the head The top of the head should be natural, and cut long enough that it parts naturally by itself. To trim, pull the hair forward and up and trim to around cm. You want to be able to see the dogs eyes easily. Leave the eyelashes long — it helps to keep hair out of their eyes. Eyes Below the eye at the muzzle, trim the top of the muzzle short at an angle just under the eyes so they can see easily. This makes it easier to clean around the eyes also. Muzzle The beard and moustache should be layered and trimmed into a circular shape, rather than blunt - aim for around cm in length. Body the body can be trimmed to whatever length suits the lifestyle. Tail should be evened up. If the body is left long, the tummy can be trimmed shorter, or even shaved in summer to keep the dog cool. Trim the hair between the pads, so the pads touch the ground. Trim the nails. Taper the hind quarters to the tail gradually. Brush and trim the tail to a natural length, and trim underneath. Private Parts Shave or trim close the dogs private area to keep clean and free from matting and any dags. In addition to the basics of bathing, trimming nails, teeth brushing, and brushing their coat, a summer haircut two to three times a year allows you to inspect their skin and helps keep your Labradoodle coat look fantastic and feel their best. Australian Labradoodles can have one of two coat types: wool and fleece coat. Each requires different trimming techniques. With some practice, it is possible to do the trimming yourself but this requires patience from you and your Australian labradoodle. Apart from their seasonal haircut, your multigenerational Australian Labradoodle will require weekly maintenance including tooth brushing, nail clipping, wiping the ear clean with damp gauze, and brushing. They will also help your puppy avoid ear infections and skin problems down the road. Start in one area, such as at the back of the head or the feet. Brush the coat well, Once that section is done, move to the next section over. Isolate an area in a line and brush through that. Continue brushing section by section, stopping to work out tangles. Step 4: Use your scissors, if needed You can use scissors to cut out stubborn areas carefully not to cut the skin. Cutting out small areas should not be visible and will make your dog more comfortable during the grooming process. Multigenerational Australian Labradoodles, like other types of doodles, need a regular brushing and grooming routine. However, this does not have to be a chore. This extra attention will make your pet happy and will work in your favor by increasing his comfort level with grooming tasks.
