Hold and cuddle the puppy as much as you can to help with the bonding and they will learn to want cuddles. Expect that there will be a few accidents until they learn the acceptable dog run area. Expect that when you put the puppy in the crate for the night, they will whimper and cry. Be patient, just talk to them and reassure them that they are not alone. Every night it will get better! And when the puppy wakes and begins to whimper in the middle of the night — RUN, they need to pee! Remember, they are just babies and every day will get easier.
