I took the hemostat and pinched the umbilical cord about 2 inches from the base of the pups belly then cut the cord rather than let Raven chew it off. I kept the hemostat on the cord for about 2 minutes to let it clout. The umbilical cord dries up quickly and then within a day or 2 it falls off. Raven was a good mama and took care of her poops. While caring for Raven and her litter Raven was really blowing out her coat that first week, but as time went on it slowed down. I heard from other friends this is common and that Raven blew out her coat much less than other mama dogs. A few examples would be helping the council and animal welfare officers to work with the community, provide dogs parks, manage pounds and shelters, collect and return animals to owners, investigate nuisance complaints, dog bite protection and education, and research into a range of animal welfare issues. As do most councils, the local East Gippsland Shire Council website provides an online or printable version of their Pet Registration Form. Does the information on their website come up on other sites when you search it? Are there paragraphs lifted from Wikipedia? Lazy plagiarism of other, more reputable, breeder websites is a scuzzy tactic used by scammers. How old is your puppy? If your puppy is under 6 weeks, though ideally 8 weeks, your breeder is not legitimate. This is the time when it is nursed, cared for, and taught social interaction by its mom and littermates. A puppy taken away too early may have health and behavioral issues. What is the refund policy? If you are met with a final sales only ultimatum, your breeder is not legitimate. A proper breeder will want you to be a great match with your dog and be willing to take the dog back if there are issues. A breeder that wants to dump a dog and run will often not have a refund policy. Do they have a permit? In some areas, selling dogs will require a permit. It is important that you ask to see it if your city is one that issues them.
