The alert and active Boxer Previously known as Deutscher Boxers, Boxers are playful, energetic dogs that are recognized for their flat-faced heads and blunt muzzles, which give them a unique look. The typical weight of Boxers is around 55 to 70 pounds 25 to 32 kg. Males can grow up to 23 to 25 inches 58 to 64 cm , while females are between 21 to 23 inches 53 to 58 cm in height. Boxer As a purebred, the Boxer is recognized by the American Kennel Club AKC and is prized as an affectionate companion, a great guard dog, and an excellent family pet. It can be difficult to detect, but signs can include weakness, a distended abdomen, difficulty breathing and weight loss. If you notice any of these symptoms in your dog, talk to your veterinarian as soon as possible, as this cancer can spread rapidly. Hip dysplasia This condition consists of a malformation of the hip joint, where it is unstable or loose in the socket.
