If one of the parents is a different color then it could mean that some, none or all of the puppies could end up being white but it will be a case of waiting to see. Unless Mum and Dad are both white then there is no guarantee that the puppies will also be white 4. This is because the long-haired gene is also a recessive one. So, for a white german shepherd to have long hair they would need to have, not just the recessive white gene but, also the recessive long-haired gene too.
