View fullsize The first labradoodle was developed in the 's in Australia as a means of providing allergy friendly coats on an intelligent service dog. With the name "labradoodle" being so popular, some breeders are crossing poodles with labrador retrievers and calling the resulting dogs "labradoodles. They might shed, they might trouble people with allergies, they might be a labrador or a poodle or almost anything in between. The goal of Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodle breeders is to develop a consistent breed with predictable traits. By breeding only multi-generation Australian Labradoodles with a lineage that can be traced back to Australia, we are doing our part to perfect and standardize the Australian Labradoodle breed. Many people who are allergic to dogs can have an Australian Labradoodle. Not only are they intelligent, but they are also very funny. With their floppy ears, wide-set eyes and wavy or curly coats, they can look like muppets. When introducing them, we like to tell people that "yes, they are as silly as they look. While resting they can assume what we call the " attack position " where their bellies are exposed, legs splayed out and tongue hanging out of their head that's lying on the ground. We were advised by multiple animal behaviorists, trainers, and our vets that our dogs aggression and erratic behaviors were dangerous for our family and friends. I can sympathize with your frustration of training your dog, it takes time and patience and a kind, loving environment which I have no doubt you and your family have. Those first four months that you had your puppy would be a key training time and yes your puppy is very kind in nature and I agree was a very calm easy dog to train. I have since spoken to you twice some three months after receiving that note with training questions. I have also reached out to you via email about getting a personal trainer to come to your home so they might see first hand what issues you may be having and how you are training your dog in your home. I can make suggestions and be of a support to you. I'm not in your home so do not know if he ever got into a chemical or pesticide perhaps, even some flea and tick medications can negatively affect a dog and you may have never noticed it. I do not know why a puppy would go home and be a wonderful addition and easy to train for four months and then be difficult for you three months later. We purchased a puppy on October 12, and met with one of the owners assistant's Tina. We were told that the puppies had a pure golden mom and a pure poodle dad. We were told that the puppies were in good health, up-to-date on their shots, etc. After bringing our puppy to the vet, we found out the puppy had parasites. When we showed the vet the health record, they quickly realized that it was nothing more than a handwritten brochure that you can find online. After reaching out to the owner, Denise, it was apparent that something was very wrong. I asked about the parents, the litter, etc. She just kept stating that she would have to look into it. She called me back later that day to tell me that the puppy we bought was actually a F1B Goldendoodle with a Goldendoodle mom and a d poodle dad. I asked how that huge detail could be missed and she said her assistant must have misspoke. I asked about the birthdate of the litter and she couldn't tell me. She said to use the date on my contract. I asked about the vet they brought the puppies to so that I could get accurate health records and she told me the puppies had NEVER been to a vet! After being so concerned for how deceived I was when purchasing the puppy, I did a lot more research only to find out that this "breeder" is nothing more than a black market for puppies.
