Pekingese Pekingese are similar to Lhasa Apsos in function. They were bred in China as watchdogs, making them very noisy and alert. However, they are also great lapdogs and have long, flowing coats that are very soft to touch. However, these small and fluffy dogs can be difficult to train, as they tend to be rather independent. With that said, they are very attached to their family and perfect for experienced pet owners looking for a small and fluffy dog. Pomeranian Pomeranians are one of the more popular small and fluffy dog breeds out there. They are quite small at only a few pounds and extremely fluffy. In fact, they are probably one of the fluffiest breeds out there. They are extremely confident and cuddly as well, making them a good choice for those looking for a lapdog. This breed absolutely does not know that they are small, and it shows in their behavior. However, their fluffy coat does require plenty of grooming, so prepare to dedicate quite a bit of time to their daily grooming needs. Toy Poodle Poodles come in three different sizes, with toy being the smallest. With their soft, curly coat, these dogs do not shed. Their daily grooming needs are minimal , though dogs with longer coats will need to be brushed out daily to prevent matting. Brushing also helps remove dirt and debris from their coat, helping to keep it clean without the use of a bath. Poodles are extremely intelligent, even when they come in a smaller package. On the one hand, this makes them relatively easy to train and take care of. However, it also means that these small fluffy dogs can get bored easily and need plenty of mental stimulation. Yorkshire Terrier Yorkies are well-known little dogs. These dogs become very attached to their owners, though. They are prone to separation anxiety if they are not taught how to be alone. For this reason, we do not recommend them for those that are out of the home a lot. They simply need more attention than most other canines out there. They came from Tibet and were originally bred by Chinese royalty. Their huge eyes and fluffy coat make them very desirable for those looking for smaller dogs. These dogs are low-energy, but they are very people-oriented. They require plenty of attention daily. This trait also makes them prone to separation anxiety. Plus, their coat needs quite a bit of work as well. While these dogs may be very adorable, they do require a substantial amount of grooming and care. For this reason, we only recommend them for those that have plenty of time on their hands. However, they are extremely fluffy and suitable for homes with a bit more room. They are a herding breed, making them very active and quite intelligent. However, they also have a very affectionate temperament, making them great in homes with older children. Because of their herding instincts, we do not recommend them for those small children, though. American Eskimo American Eskimo dogs are medium to small dogs. They can stand anywhere from 19 to 9 inches tall. Those on the smaller size may absolutely work for families looking for smaller dogs. This breed is extremely active. They are also quite intelligent, which means that they require a lot of mental stimulation. Both of these traits combine to make this dog pretty high-maintenance. However, they are also fun companions and relatively easy to train. We recommend this breed primarily for those with previous dog experience. They require significant amounts of mental and physical stimulation, which can be difficult for new dog owners to provide. Keeshond The Keeshond is a very affectionate, social dog. They are a bit larger at 17 to 18 inches. However, their extremely fluffy coats won them a spot on this list. These dogs are very people-oriented and love their families. They also love to bark, which can be a problem for those in apartments. Their fluffy coat does require a decent amount of grooming. It constantly sheds, which can be a problem given how fluffy it is. We highly recommend this dog for active households with children. They are very good with kids and can be wonderful family pets. Finnish Lapphund As their name suggests, these dogs come from Lapland in Finland. They were originally working dogs, where they were used to herd reindeer. Because of their working background, these dogs need significant amounts of exercise every day. They are very energetic and require plenty of exercises. They are also quite people-oriented and may bark insistently if they are left alone for long periods. They need to be crate-trained at an early age so that they are used to being alone. Chow Chow The Chow Chow is a teddy bear of a dog. They are extremely fluffy, but they are also quite bulky. They can get rather large, but some of them are pretty small comparatively. They basically look like giant fluff balls, which is exactly why they ended up on this list. This dog is known for its bluish-black tongue, which is pretty rare in the dog world. While these dogs may look fluffy and adorable, they are quite protective and suspicious of strangers. They need plenty of training and socialization to get along with other dogs. We only recommend these dogs for experienced owners who have plenty of time to train and socialize them. As a result, small breeds like Mini Aussies are being bred to be even smaller, creating variations such as the Toy Aussie and the even smaller Teacup Aussie. Whilst neither are recognized breeds in their own right; they do have distinct size differences to standard and Miniature Aussies. Toys Aussies were created by breeding Miniature Aussies together and crossbreeding Minis with other, small and fluffy dog breeds. However, the fashionability of tiny dogs has lead to breeders using bad breeding tactics to create smaller and smaller dogs. This often happens with so-called Teacup dogs and includes breeding runts, inbreeding, and malnourishment. Whilst Toy Aussies are not as small as Teacup Aussies, they are not exempt from bad breeding either. Border Collies Border Collies are some of the smartest dogs out there. They are also relatively small in some cases, with the smallest dogs being about 27 pounds. These dogs are extremely trainable and are known for quickly picking up on commands. However, this high intelligence also means that they can be quite a bit of work. This can be in the form of training or puzzle toys. Otherwise, they can become destructive and difficult to handle. They are extremely active as well, requiring substantial amounts of exercise each day. In general, these dogs are not best for those without much time on their hands. Biewer Terrier The Biewer Terrier is a rarer dog breed. However, it is absolutely a small and fluffy dog. These dogs are often tri-colored but a bit fluffier than a Yorkie. They were just accepted into the AKC in , making them relatively newer as far as dog breeds go. They originally did come from the Yorkshire Terrier , but they now have enough genetic differences to be their own breed. It is very difficult to find these dogs for adoption due to their rarity. However, they can make good family dogs if you do happen to find them. Bolognese With their fluffy coat and round eyes, these dogs are extremely cute. These dogs were designed as companion animals. Therefore, they are quite cuddly and affectionate. They can suffer from some separation anxiety problems if they are not taught how to be alone at a young age. However, they are perfect for those looking for a lapdog. They are also less active, which makes them a good option for those living in apartments. If you just want a cute dog to sit in your lap, this dog likely fits the bill. Long-Haired Chihuahua Most of the time, Chihuahuas are considered to be nearly hairless. However, they can also have long hair. These colorful Chihuahuas can absolutely count as fluffy. With that said, their fur does not actually require that much grooming in the least. They can be great for those who want a small and fluffy dog, but not the excessive amounts of grooming that often come with them! Of course, these long-haired Chihuahuas act just like other Chihuahuas. It is essential that you socialize and train them appropriately. Otherwise, they can become aggressive and territorial. As small dogs, they are prone to fear-based aggression. It is also common for owners to carry their Chihuahuas around everywhere, which can lead to other behavioral problems. Chihuahuas that are never allowed to interact with the world on their own often end up with confidence issues, which can lead to aggression. Chinese Crested Chinese Crested are typically considered partially hairless. However, there is a haired version of this breed that is actually quite fluffy. They are often less sought after than hairless dogs, which makes them considerably less expensive. Chinese Crested are extremely attached to their people. You just might have to sit on a waiting list for a rather long time before one becomes available. As the name suggests, these dogs are from Iceland. In the United States, they tend to be rather rare. However, this breed can make a good family dog. They are very loyal to their family and extremely attentive. As working dogs, they do require some exercise each day, but this is often not as extensive as it is for other breeds. Japanese Chin The Japanese Chin is an extremely tiny breed with longer fur. These dogs bond closely with their owners and are very loyal. However, this also makes them prone to separation anxiety. They also tend to be one-person dogs, so they may not be best for families with children. Their coat is long and fluffy as adults, but it takes quite a while to grow in. Of course, this does vary from puppy to puppy, though. Japanese Spitz The Japanese Spitz is the ultimate small and fluffy dog breed. They look like giant marshmallows. As intelligent and energetic dogs, they can make great pets for active families. They will happily play with the children in the yard and go on walks. These dogs are much more likely to run around and play than sit in your lap and cuddle. These coats do shed a lot. For this reason, you can expect to brush them quite a bit each day. Their dense undercoat needs to be raked out to remove excess fur and reduce shedding. With that said, even with daily combing, their fur tends to end up around the house. However, you can find them if you look hard enough and have a bit of patience. They are very people-oriented and love attention. They tend to be rather needy when it comes to the attention of their family. If they are not paid attention to enough, they can become rather destructive. Their long fluffy coat does require a bit of grooming as well. They are often kept trimmed, but they will often require daily brushing as well. Mi-Ki The Mi-Ki is a mixed breed that is becoming quite popular. They are produced by combining the Maltese, Papillon, and Japanese Chin. Due to this specific combination, they are often only produced by specialty breeders. These dogs are extremely affectionate and bred to be companion animals. Their coat does require some extensive grooming, though it can vary somewhat from dog to dog. As you might imagine, these highly intelligent dogs also require some extensive amount of socialization and training. Otherwise, they can become destructive and rather bored. Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka As the name suggests, this breed is from Russia. They are extremely rare in the United States. Most people who have them have directly imported them from Russia, as there are rarely active breeders in the United States. These dogs do not require extensive amounts of exercise and are often pretty easy to take care of. They are sociable and tend to get along well with pretty much anyone. Their high intelligence does mean that they need some mental stimulation each day. Their coats usually require some regular grooming. However, they are often not nearly as grooming intensive as some other small and fluffy dog breeds on this list. A quick brush every other day is often plenty. Tibetan Terrier The Tibetan Terrier is a bit larger than some of the other dogs on this list, but they can come in some small sizes. They often weigh somewhere between 18 to 30 pounds. These dogs are working animals, so they need regular exercise. They are sociable and often quite gentle as well. Many owners describe them as great with children. While they can be quite energetic, their laidback temperament makes them great family pets. This breed does take a bit to get fluffy. However, puppies are rather soft — just not nearly as fluffy. Their adult coat does require extensive amounts of grooming, brushing, and trimming. You should expect to spend quite a bit of time brushing them each day to prevent mats from forming. Volpino Italiano These rare dogs are white and fluffy. They are native to Italy, though they are pretty rare just about anywhere today. As energetic, active dogs, they require decent amounts of exercise. We only recommend them for active families for this reason. Otherwise, it can be hard to meet their high exercise needs. These dogs excel at dog sports, including agility and rally. While they are good family dogs, this breed is not as clingy as some others on this list. Their playful nature can make them great options for children. However, they are smaller in size, so they can be harmed by rougher kids. They come in many different sizes, depending on the size of the Poodle used — as well as what traits they randomly inherit from which parent breed. Toys are often between 6 to 12 pounds, putting them firmly in the small dog range. Their coat does vary a little bit since they can inherit any trait from either parent breed. However, it is generally longer and at least somewhat fluffy. The texture can range from wavy to straight. Most of the time, these dogs are not heavy shedders. However, they do require some amount of grooming to prevent matting. Many of their owners keep their coats trimmed down to lower grooming requirements. Still, even when they are trimmed, you should expect daily grooming. Because this is a mixed breed, they are not as popular as some other breeds. Still, many breeders are starting to craft more and more mixed breeds. Therefore, you may be able to find them with a bit of looking. Like most toy dogs, they weigh around four to seven pounds. Some may have a long, flowing coat, while others will have silkier hair. Their grooming requirements will depend largely on what traits they inherit. Some dogs will need daily grooming , while others may only need to be brushed every other day. Many owners may choose to get them cut shorter to lessen the amount of grooming required. Professional grooming is often necessary for this breed. This breed is a mix between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian. As you might imagine, this leads to an extremely fluffy, smaller dog. However, their weight range can vary substantially. Some are as little as 7 pounds, while others are as large as 38 pounds. Most are somewhere in the middle, which makes them one of the larger dogs on this list. These dogs are often energetic and outgoing. They need quite a bit of exercise, so we only recommend them for outgoing, active families. They are often quite sociable, though they can also be extremely noisy. Others may yap more like a Pomeranian. Finding a Pomsky is often difficult. They require particular breeding since the size difference is so dramatic. These litters often do not occur by chance, so you often have to search for a specialty breeder that is producing Pomsky puppies. As you might imagine, these dogs are extremely small and fluffy. They often require extensive grooming. Usually, companion animals are kept trimmed down to limit the amount of brushing required. For the most part, these dogs are quite easy to take care of — as long as you can provide for their grooming needs. These dogs are intelligent and very people-oriented. However, because they are a mixed breed, their traits are not set in stone. Instead, they can inherit any trait from any parent. They have a distinctive white coat that tends to be quite curly. They only weigh about 15 to 20 pounds, but they are very hardy. Their energetic nature makes them best for more active families. This breed is known for being quite intelligent. They are quick to learn new commands and decently easy to train. However, they also have a very strong prey drive. Therefore, they are not good for families with cats and other small pets. Affenpinscher The Affenpinscher is a small and lively breed of dog that originated in Germany. These dogs are typically about inches tall and weigh between pounds. They have a wiry coat that comes in a variety of colors, including black, gray, silver, and tan. Due to their coat texture, they require regular grooming to prevent matting and tangling. Affenpinschers are highly intelligent and eager to please, but can also be stubborn and independent. They require early socialization and training to ensure that they are well-behaved and well-adjusted. They are generally good with children and other pets, but may not tolerate rough play. The ear should still be a healthy, pale pink with no unpleasant odor or broken skin. Be sure to note the difference between a dirty ear and a medically unwell ear. This will ensure you keep on top of his ear health and make sure you catch or prevent any problems early on. Make sure your Labrador is standing, sitting or lying down comfortably. Begin by calmly stroking his head. You can also give him a piece of kibble or a treat to distract him. Lift the flap of his ear and look into the ear canal. It should also be fairly free from ear wax, debris, discharge or blood although it may have a few flecks of ear wax dotted around the outer ear. Your dog should not react as though in pain, and they should be comfortable with you handling the ear flap. Your Dog Ear Cleaning Kit. Either with water, in what is often referred to as the natural method of cleaning, or using specially designed ear cleaning chemicals. If your Labrador is still a puppy pop him into your lap. If he is fully grown try and encourage him to lay down next to you with his head in your lap. Remain calm, petting and reaffirming your dog. Use treats if necessary. A second set of hands may be useful for less confident dogs. Soak the cotton wool in warm water. Test the temperature of the water. Ensure if it only warm NOT hot! Squeeze out the excess water to leave the cotton damp not sopping wet. Remove any visible dirt and waxy buildup. Begin close to the ear canal and continue outwards towards the outer rim of the underside of the ear flap Each time you wipe use a new piece of cotton wool, so that you are not reintroducing any removed dirt and debris back into the ear with subsequent wipes. Only wipe around the external parts of the ear, coming near to but not entering the opening of the ear canal. Do not introduce water or cotton wool into the ear canal. If your dog appears happy and settled you can repeat this right away with the other ear. If he is becoming restless or stressed, then wait until they have settled down before continuing with the other ear. This usually comes in a tube fitted with a pointed nozzle, so that the liquid is directed into the ear canal. You can also buy proprietary ear cleaning solutions online. We like Zymox but always check with your vet before using this or any other commercial ear cleaner on your dog. Always follow the instructions given by your vet or on the package carefully. This will often be along the lines of placing the tube at the entrance to the ear canal, squirting the requisite volume of solution directly into the ear and then massaging the ear and the area beneath it with the ear flap closed. You will hear a squelching sound as the solution cleans the inner ear and while the ear will become damp there should not be a lot of solution leaking out of the ear if the correct amount is used. Use cotton swabs to wipe out any excess cleaning solution wiping from the inside to outside of the ear flap. You can help your Labrador to find the process less frustrating by giving him a high value treat immediately after you have massaged the solution into his ear. This will help them associate the less than pleasant ear cleaning with the much more enjoyable reward of a yummy treat. This is perfectly normal. Still it is probably best to carry out the cleaning process in a relatively empty, well contained space away from any fragile items—a bathroom is often preferred. You may be able to distract your dog afterwards with a game or a brisk walk. Some dogs do not like having their ears cleaned. This can be an issue for some dogs with general cleaning, even more so for dogs with recurring inner ear problems who need routine inner ear cleanings. The best thing you can do is to get your dog used to being handled and having their ears cleaned from a young age. If you are bringing home a new puppy, then every few days when he is sitting on your lap calmly gently stroke around his ears, lifting the flaps and doing a visual check. When he responds by staying calm and still give him a small piece of kibble as a reward. This will help him to get used to letting you inspect the ear. And see it as a rewarding experience when he shows the desired behavior. When you are happy with these checks, you can do the same but with the occasional gentle wipe of the ear using a damp cotton wool pad. Just remember to reward him for being still, disinterested and calm, and to ignore him when he gets excited. Tips for Adult Dogs If your dog is older and has developed a distaste to having his ears checked or cleaned you can combat this but at a very slow, patient pace. The best place to start is by training a reliable sit command. Make sure your dog will happily sit while you are both on the same level. And while you have your hands on a a body part or area in which he is comfortable. Gradually over the course of several training sessions move your hands closer to his head and ears. Only go as far as your dog is comfortable. And every time he remains relaxed give him a piece of kibble to reward him. Begin repeating the process with a cotton wool pad or the ear cleaner in your hand. If he is nervous of these items you will need to begin training by simply rewarding him for staying calm when you hold them in the same room as him. Make sure you have lots of high value rewards ready. Stay calm and confident in your handling of him. If you have a friend that your Lab knows well and trusts, then you may find it easier to carry out the final stage with them treat-streaming. Ask them to give your dog a continuous row of small treats while you do the cleaning. Ear problems in Labradors can cause them and you a lot of stress. Symptoms of Ear Problems in Labradors Ear problems can be highly irritating, so you may see behaviors like head shaking and ear flapping. Or the dog may simply keep tilting his head to one side. Your dog may scratch at his ears with his hind feet. Or he may drop his head down and rub his ears with his front foot. He may even put his head on the ground and rub his ear along the floor. But, sometimes, ear problems can go undetected. A grubby or sore appearance with a lot of dark brown wax coming from the ear canal, is not a good sign. Nor is any kind of odor. Common causes of Labrador ear problems The pain and irritation that causes your dog to rub or scratch himself repeatedly is the result of an inflamed ear canal. Vets call this inflammation Otitis which simply means inflamed ear. Including: Ear mites Yeast Bacteria One of these three types of creature is usually the culprit. Otitis Externa is closely associated with atopic dermatitis and other allergies. These irritating parasites are a relatively common labrador health problem. What are ear mites? Ear mites are minute creatures that look a bit like tiny white crabs. They live in the ear canal of affected animals feeding off the debris there dead skin cells etc , and sometimes causing intense irritation. Has my Labrador got ear mites? Dogs are affected differently by these creatures with some Labradors scratching their ears until they bleed whilst others barely seem to notice them. Your vet will be able to confirm the diagnosis, and if you have more than one dog, or a cat, you will need to treat them all because the problem is easily spread from one dog to another. Treating ear mites Treatment takes a few weeks to eradicate the problem completely so you will need to be persistent. Remember to keep cats away from dog flea products, they can make cats very ill. You will need a cat specific product to treat your cat. Canine Ear Infections Caused by Yeast A yeast or fungal infection is another common problem in dogs, especially those with floppy low hanging ears like Labradors. Yeast infections are one of the problems that may also be more common in dogs with allergies. A study published in showed that dogs with an allergy to mould, trees, or cultivated plants were more likely to suffer from skin and ear yeast infection. A yeast infection can cause the ear to smell unpleasant, as can a bacterial infection. What do I do if my dog has an ear infection? The first step is to get a diagnosis. He may want you to clean your dogs ears each day for a while to help improve the environment inside them. If your vet thinks that there is a bacterial infection he may prescribe antibiotic drops to be placed into the ears. A yeast infection can be treated with anti fungal drops. Do dogs ear infections get better on their own? It can be tempting to leave what seems to be a relatively minor problem, and to wait and see if it clears up on its own. With ear infections this is a bad idea, for three main reasons. Firstly because they are distressing for the dog. And secondly because the dog that is flapping his ears to relieve the irritation inside them, is quite likely to give himself a haematoma of the ear flap. This is where bleeding occurs inside the flap from the constant shaking, and a big cyst fills with blood and if left may eventually burst. Treating the haematoma, stitching, draining etc, can be a lot more trouble, and a lot more expensive, than treating the original ear infection. And thirdly, Otitis Externa can be even more serious is left untreated in the long term, involving expensive surgery and occasionally in permanent hearing loss How do you prevent ear problems in dogs? A good circulation of air helps to keep ears healthy. Upright ears have the advantage, but you can help your Labrador by keeping his ears clean and free from debris so that the environment inside them does not encourage and overgrowth of unpleasant visitors. If your dog has a lot of hair growing in around the entrance to the ear canal, your vet may recommend you trim it. It may be tempting to dunk your dog in a medicated shampoo to try and fend off more problems, but washing a dog more frequently may not help. Not only do you risk pushing water into the ear canal, but allergies in Labradors may be more common in dogs that are washed regularly. Cleaning their ears can potentially help to prevent ear problems in Labradors. A large ball of cotton wool moistened with warm boiled water or a little of the ear cleaner recommended by your vet can be gently wiped around the opening of the ear canal, as far as you can easily see. It's hard to remember life before we had her. She adjusted very nicely to her new home. She and our cat were getting along and the cat was very interested in her, dare I say he really enjoyed her. Two weeks after we got Rylee the cat took ill and had to be put down. Our family was incredibly sad, and I think Rylee understood that something bad happened. Have a Merry Christmas! He is a little over 25 lbs now and is fully housebroken. He is doing so well with his training.He had his final shots today and is super healthy. His vet adores him. We had an intense winter this season and I was proud of Wolfie learning to go "outdoors only" while living in Manhattan and among many inches of snow. We endured a lot of elevator rides daily from the 39th floor, but he caught on so quick. We have a perfect routine now. Now I understand how hard it is for you guys to truly capture how gorgeous your Labradoodles are in pictures. It is so hard to get the camera to feature their incredible coats and the awesome character in their faces. But, I keep trying and learning. God bless you guys. It is not easy. He is now named Tanner and has settled in nicely. The picture attached was taken in October so he is about 14 months old. We spend a lot of time throwing frisbee in the yard the mere mention of the word "frisbee" gets him into a huge frenzy. It is his favorite toy. He also loves to play in the fountain we have in the patio behind the house and to chase his rubber bouncing ball. He definitely thinks he rules the house and that I live here with him! As you can see from the picture, he is quite the poser. He went through beginner training this year and did very well except that the trainer says he really has butterflies in his brain. He gets so easily distracted. He has a great personality and everyone that meets him falls in love immediately. Thanks for giving him such a great start in life. He is truly a best friend! Our kids were in middle school when we got her from you in .Today they are young adults living on their own, but what our dog has brought to their life and ours is indescribable. The obvious joy and love the dog expresses for our kids every time they come home is so beautiful to watch. Today Besa is 14 and we still call her puppy. As so many dogs have, she has truly enjoyed the pandemic and spends every day sleeping in a bed in the office both my wife and I work from. In general, Besa is still in excellent health but is not immune from aging. She has some bladder leakage when she sleeps and has had a heart murmur for many years. We feel so incredibly blessed to have her as part of our lives and will treasure every day we get to spend with her. I'll add yet another thank you to the mountain of them you have received. Dixie is a bit bigger, similar hair coloring but a longer snout. She is so mellow, so cute, and still has lots of personality. She gets along with all people and all animals. I have included a few of our many pictures of him truly, I think there are currently more pictures of Linus than of any of my human children. He goes with us everywhere. School outings are his favorite because he gets so much attention. He also enjoys getting coffee from the little coffee stands that dot the Seattle streets. The baristas always give him extra dog treats because he is so cute. He trained easily and enjoyed puppy classes. He is very smart and learns quickly. He is a natural retriever and always wants to play fetch. He does get excited as all puppies should, but is usually calm and quiet. His biggest issues are: digging in the yard and finding and tearing apart socks he seems to have a foot fetish. He also has trouble seeing through that furry face, but I bought some thinning scissors and this is now improved. He has the softest most luxurious coat imaginable. We are doing well and Ruby we got tired of explaining Roo so she became Ruby but she answers to either Roo or Ruby is an absolute treat to have around. You may be getting a few phone calls. Pearl has been such a blessing and in some ways, she is like my guardian angel. I feel so fortunate in that Pearl from an incredibly early age began alerting me and it was I that took a while to catch on what she was doing. Long before Pearl ever started her official training, and basically from the day I brought her home, I would have her lay on my chest with her nose near my mouth. She would nap that way, and we would cuddle that way. So, if I was wearing an article of clothing when I had a bloodsugar issue, I would use that article as my scenting tool. She learned skills and behaviors associated with service dog duties and along with the trainer, we came up with ways to add the skills that Pearl seemed to intuitively have to new skills and put it all together. I feel like none of this would not be if I would have not had Pearl and you come into my life. Pearl is more than just a service dog, more than a companion animal…. Oh Rochelle, I wish you could see her. She is not only beautiful, she has a calm sweetness to her that just makes you melt. I took her with me to California a couple of weeks ago. When I got there, my dad was laying down in bed. After we came in and gave a hug to mom, I took her off leash and she went immediately back to their bedroom where dad was laying. She looked at me and I nodded and she jumped right in bed with him and quickly laid down next to him with her head on his chest. My mom said it was the first time that dad smiled and laughed for days. For the rest of the week that we were there, Pearl rotated from dad to I, checking in with both of us often. When we left, he shook hands with everybody and we marched out. That boy can go anywhere with me he is so well-behaved. People could not believe that he was a one year old pup. We are moving forward with therapy training. The evaluation for Ozzie will be about a week later. I hope we can make it through the first time. We are working hard. But there is also play in the agility class, which he really seems to enjoy. Loves the jumps but is not crazy about the tunnel or chute. He also sees his doggie friends on a regular basis.
