Half a program, or passing a dog from trainer to trainer is just going to cause a lot of regret later. Reputable breeders have a purpose to breed. They have a goal they want realized that is more than making a quick buck. Good working line breeders put an emphasis on health, strong nerves, working ability and drive, so they can produce solid working dogs. Good show line breeders breed with the same ideals, but there's a bit less focus on drive and working ability. There are also some breeders who specifically focus on producing good family pets that they describe as medium to low drive, healthy and medium of character neither hard, nor soft of temperament. It's up to you which you pick, but all should have health testing done and be stable dogs who aren't fearful or outwardly aggressive. Reputable breeders are obsessed with cleanliness and health. They keep their whelping quarters tidy and their pup's health and well-being are their 1 priority above all else. An answer like "Well, my lines have great drive and working aptitude, but their sire tends to throw puppies that are on the lower side of the standard in size" is an honest answer. The dogs are still in standard, they still fit what the breeder wants, and their only complaint is that they get smaller pups than they'd like every now and then. No dog, no line, and no breeder is perfect. Being honest about those things says a lot about the person you trust to give your money to, and trust for them to give you a healthy, stable puppy in return. We also want to emphasize that you won't have a breeder to call with questions down the line. You'll know nothing about the pup's health history. If you choose adoption, you don't know what issues may arise down the road, so you need to be prepared for vet costs and insure you have the best trainer available in your area. In most cases, it is more convenient for both us and the pug to split this to two meals. If your Pug had a full meal in the morning, be sure he will nag you like crazy in the afternoon. Obviously, I am very happy with the raw diet and its outcomes as switching to dry food would have been easy and cheap. I believe it is the better choice for myself and my dogs. I believe I have presented the facts fairly objectively as far as the other feeding options go. There is no standard or way to measure what natural is and what the added value of it is other then the origin of it. Natural color could come from some secretion of an insect. Special Needs Puppies These little ones need the most nutritious and high-quality food you can find. If you want to find an economic way to feed your dog, please do it later in his life. We had our baby daughter at the time, and since she was very close and intimate with Preston, and he was eating raw, we made sure to wipe his mouth and feet with baby wipes after every meal. We switched them both to hypo-allergenic wipes and the skin went back to normal… Hip Dysplasia Pugs are ranked as one of the breeds with the highest chances of suffering from Hip Dysplasia. If the amount of treats your Pug is rivals the actual food, in quantity, you should reconsider or at least re calculate it. If you are using kibble both at meals and as treats for training, and your stubborn Pug ends up consuming a lot of treats, just take it off the next meal. The same goes for snacks. All Dams and Sires are fully genetic tested and have been raised in my home since 8 weeks of age. I am a small in home breeder that lives for her poodles and doodles. Meadowbrook was started back in with myself and my son Taylor. As a child I grew up with a toy poodle, so poodles have always had a special place in my heart. My childhood dream was to own a standard poodle. Standard poodles always stood out in a crowd to me. The day I purchased my first standard poodle, Meadow, my dreams finally came true, I was in love with the breed! Since I have loved staying home and breeding poodles. In I decided I should spread my love for the breed of poodle and start producing some smaller poodles and doodles. My main goal in life is to have gorgeous, happy, healthy poodles and doodles for loving families. All puppies are raised in my home with 24 hour care. All puppies will have regular weekly grooming starting at 2 weeks to make sure they are use to getting their noses and feet shaved. All poodles will have tails docked and dew-claws removed. Picture updates will be provided every 2 weeks. Worming and Vaccination Schedule All puppies will have 6 week vaccinations at my vet's office and will be dewormed every 2 weeks until they go home at 8 weeks. This was recently added do to some veterinarians will not honor vaccination records unless the vaccine was given by the vet.
