I love to run around in the yard and be silly, so a fenced yard would be best, but don't worry, I LOVE walks too. Though, I do prefer the company of my humans when I'm out in the yard. I've learned to just lie down and soak up the sunshine on the patio or chew on my toys. Myself and both the resident pups have started to play and goof around a bit more now, but nothing too crazy. Car rides are always a bonus, and they tell me that I ride well. I will probably just lay down on one of the seats or the floor unless snuggles are an option, then I choose that. I get excited when my humans go to the door or get out the leashes. Walks are the best thing in the world in case you didn't know , although I am still learning to walk without pulling. My foster human says I am getting better, but I think it is because they started using a gentle leader. He also says that when we are walking, I am a good teacher of patience and deep breaths especially if there are squirrels and rabbits around. Chasing is fun exercise, and it keeps them in good cardio shape. Tug Games for Pugs Tug is one of the fun games for Pugs when played correctly. Let your Pug dog take one side of the rope toy or whatever you have decided to use. Let your Pug dog pull on the toy and move it gently from side to side. Do not jerk the toy up and down as this could cause spinal injury. Do not move the toy vigorously. They need to be old enough to understand that it is only to be played with gentle movements. Pugs love this game and let them growl away like the big dogs they think they are! Mind Games for Pugs Mental exercise is good for Pugs of all ages.
