It may take you a bit longer to get through the puppy stage as the Bernese breed remains immature a little longer than most and can sometimes be a bit stubborn. Of course, poodles are an extremely popular breed due to their calm, sweet nature, which is why some poodle owners are snobs thinking we shouldn't be crossing them as they are perfect as they are! However, 20 years ago, breeders became weary of the rules, regulations and fees from the AKC registration company. Breeders started crossing with the poodle to add intelligence and curl to the purebreds that were so heavily inbred. The result? The public loved it and thus the "Demand for Designer Dogs" began. Here at Kimberlee's Kennels we are able to offer miniature Bernedoodles in the F1 type and the F1b type through artificial insemination with careful consideration to blood progesterone tests resulting in large litters and perfect accuracy in mating. Miniatures are often 18 inches at the withers and between 25 and 49 pounds. Standards are between 23 and 29 inches and between 70 and 90 pounds. They are a cross between a f1 Bernedoodle and a f1b Bernedoodle. We decided to call them teddy bears because the name fits them. We decided we wanted to add the Teddy Bear bernedoodles to our program back in .I talked with Tammie at Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles. We decided it was a good idea and we would be able to get the perfect Bernedoodle. I am excited about the potential for the Teddy Bear Bernedoodles. My idea is that we can produce a litter of puppies with consistent structure, hair type, temperament, and color. The way we can do this is to take the best of the best in health, structure, and temperament and test them to make sure they do not catty IC. Ic stands for improper coat. It is the coat you would see on a Bernese Mountain dog or a Golden retriever. We have had many requests for this coat type but as of right now we are not producing the IC affected coats in our Teddy Bear Bernedoodle program. All of our Teddy Bear Bernedoodles will have the beautiful fleece non shedding coat. Our Teddy Bear Bernedoodles will be pounds full grown. We will introduce the larger Teddy Bears in .We love the medium sized because they are great for all living situations. Teddy Bear Bernedoodles are great for families with allergies because they are little to no shed. Our teddy bear Bernedoodles are calm, quiet, social, intelligent, affectionate, and goofy. Our Teddy Bear Bernedoodles make great family companions and can double as a therapy or service dog. They need to be a part of a family and do best around people. She wanted to know just as much about us, as we wanted to know about her and her puppies. So important to find a breeder that cares about where his or her puppies are going. You could tell that this was not just a business for her, but a passion and a true commitment to the breed, and each individual puppy!
