Your puppy at Blue Ridge Labradoodles is born in our personally-designed dog whelping room where they are under our constant watch and care. At weeks old, when weaned, they move to our puppy room which is adjacent to the whelping room. Here they learn early training and receive daily human attention and affection. Any litters over one or two will stay with our puppy-approved Guardian Homes, where they receive top-notch care as well. Week One: Puppies are born, staying with Mama all the time and in a heated cage or room, just the right temperature for newborn puppies. The Boys: Sonny and Thunder seem to be most playful out of the males, Sonny still has his light color coat and we think he will have Chip's coat. Thunder has a pretty light colored coat as well! Whenever we go outside, Lightning always comes and snuggles up to Fletcher, I am not sure why either, because Fletcher, only being 9 months, tries to grab his fur and does not understand "gentle hands" yet, I have had to rescue Lightning from him a few times! But Lightning just keeps going back, he is a lover and just wants to snuggle up to Fletchers side! Puddles is named appropriately, as he just melts me into a puddle every time I look at him. He has the most beautiful coat and big ol' puppy dog eyes! He is still the explorer in the group but also loves to sit in your lap and cuddle as well. If he were a female I would keep him because his eyes just melt my heart! She is Quincy's favorite, so she is held often and snuggles up with Quincy on the couch and takes a nap while Quincy watches TV. She is very playful and is often found with the boys holding her own! Rain is very sweet and has the most beautiful face. She seems to be very calm and lovable! She is one we have considered keeping for ourselves because she has such a beautiful face and perfectly shaped head! Lilac is probably the most calm in the litter, I don't notice her playing with the other puppies very often, she seems to be happy just watching the show from the sidelines, she also loves to sit in our lap and be held. She is probably my favorite in the litter, and who we are leaning towards keeping! We will decide for sure by next Sunday. April is playful! She likes to pen her brothers down and show them she is boss! She has a beautiful head and coat and loves to be held. It's left open. He goes in during the day when I'm at work but I leave him out at night. He fusses once in but goes in pretty easily. Sunny can be bitey in play and will need a family that can handle this. He is still learning that he can not have my food. He has not counter surfed but he does want what you have! Sunny isn't barky. He barks for a few minutes after going in his crate and if new ppl or dogs come in the house. We have not met any kids. However the home he came from had kids. Sunny seems to be doing better with eating. We feed in morning and night. We have added wet food and joint supplements to his food. His hips pop. They ride great in the car. Sunny does bark at people and dogs he sees in the yard or house who are familiar but ultimately wants to meet them and play. Sunny does also do this on walks but has become a lot better with training and exposure. He did good getting in a bath. Wants to drink out of the shower hose. No thunderstorms yet. Sunny definitely needs training. Group training would be good for Sunny. He knows sit but doesn't always want to sit! We have introduced, stay, lay, leave it used a lot on walks to help with barking with me which is essentially heel and come. He has not mastered any of it. He does great walking with a gentle lead. RR requires most puppies and some high every adult dogs to live in a home with a fenced in yard. All animals adopted from RR will be fixed before the adoption is complete. Hawaii is also excited to see her people when they come home. Though still timid while standing, she is wagging her tail and can't wait for them to sit down so she can come get some love. A Lack of Symptoms To further complicate the matter, symptoms are limited or seemingly non-existent in most cases. This, understandably, catches many breeders and veterinarians off guard. Some experts say that one indicator may be additional weight gain by the female, as a result of the extra fluid. Others observe a listing or shifting of the puppies from one side to the other. Again, experts caution against reading too much into these observations, as there is no viable scientific data to substantiate these symptoms. Stimulating the pups to pee is also important and must be done every two to three minutes. The vet can also use elastic bandages gently wrapped around the pups to help push out fluid. Mildly-affected Water Puppies can take 1 to 2 hours to breathe normally while moderately-affected water pups take longer — about one and a half hours to four hours — to breathe normally.
