Once you buy gift cards or send money via Zelle, the crooks will soon come up with other reasons for you to send more cash. He kept all of our water troughs, tubs and pools clean and disinfected. Blake helped with the mowing, weed eating and other lawn maintenance. Unlike my daddy, Blake was raised in the city. I am sure as a young man he never dreamed he would be working full time putting up fences, taking care of a mini farm or grooming a Standard Poodle. Not only has he hung right in there and learned a lot from my daddy, he truly loves his new farm life. Blake will still runs errands like picking up dog food and other supplies if needed. He will also transport a puppy to the airport to be shipped and does a lot of our personal regional puppy deliveries as well. In Blake became EMS certified, which has come in handy occasionally here at the farm and in our home. Blake is a very soft spoken, quiet and mellow blessing in my life. Simple things we do together bring certain tranquility to my life that I have come to treasure. I cannot imagine loving any one more and I thank God every day for blessing me with a husband and an amazing father to our son, like Blake. He is has spent several years being a builder so his expertise in the construction of our facility has been irreplaceable. He brings a sense of humor to everything he does. My daddy is very out spoken and a little loud sometimes. He is very driven and sometimes forgets to slow down and enjoy life. Quite often we find him holding a newborn or talking to an older puppy while giving them a pat on the head or a big bear hug. Luckily for my dad, we have been able to bring on two amazing young men who have taken over the very difficult and labor intensive duties that my he did in the beginning. Before my sister Holley decided to return to showing horses, my brother-in-law Brian could always be counted on to help when there was manual labor to be done. Brian puts on an air that he is not interested in the Poodles, but we know different and have caught him many times in the act of cuddling our Standard adults and babies! He loves the puppies too! He and my daddy would sometimes disappear for a couple of hours leaving us to tend to the canine members of our family and a while they will walk out on the back porch and yell, letting us know that our dinner is ready. We make our way to the house and walk into a meal of grilled chicken, steak or ribs with all the fixings. We can count on any one of the three to make us smile. Of course they are men and we are women, so they will make us cry from time to time. My little brother Luke and nephew Scott have always lent a helping hand. They love working with their daddies. They are like little men taking all the responsibilities assigned to them quite seriously. They both love to hunt with my daddy. Now that Scott is a teenager he works right along side with his dad at the tire shop he owns, Woodruff Tire, and can be seen driving a tractor around their farm. Luke has become a great helper here on our farm. When anybody needs a helping hand he is the one that always volunteers first. Luke can also be found out in the maintenance shop helping his dad change oil in our vehicles and farm equipment and sharping the blades for the lawn tractors. We never know what they will be into next. But he did such a good job we offered him a full time position which he graciously accepted. He keeps all of our water troughs, tubs and pools clean and disinfected. Our Standard adults have free feeding available at all times and Cody keeps all the feeders clean and inspected for bugs as well as keeping them filled with feed. This is not a hard job to do, but a hard job to do well! It takes up a lot of time. Cody helps Zack in the well care of our horses and keeps the stalls and barn clean. We concentrated on the two conformations of Standard Poodles. The Standard Poodle Club of America is, of course, made up of humans. They are pretty special, amazing and dedicated humans. They write the standards for the breed, and the standard has to some extent changed the original look and purpose of the Standard Poodle. Our primary goal is to enrich the very small gene bank of the Standard Poodle pedigrees, which is and will continue to be the best weapon against genetic disorders. Praying not only that my babies were healthy but that they had the genes to make your baby healthy. Finally came the time to put your puppies parents together. For the next 63 days I worried, I obsessed, I grew excited. I watched your puppies mom like a hawk. Making sure my baby was ok, monitoring her diet better than I do my own. Concerned that she was getting enough of the right nutrients and that your growing baby was getting the best start possible. I spent hours on the couch, floor, and dog bed with her watching her tummy grow and anxiously waiting. As your baby and mine grew I laid my hands on her tummy and felt the first movements of your puppy. As the time grew close I spent most nights in the nursery with her. Making sure she didn't go into labor without me knowing, in case something went wrong and one of our babies needed help. When labor started my whole life stopped. I spent every second with her. Your baby was born into my hands and I held my breath as I cleaned them up, watching for movement and breathing, cleaning them up, checking them over, and wondering if you'd love them as much as I already did. I helped your babies brother when mom got tired and he was stuck. I cried when your babies sister didn't make it. For the first 8 weeks most of my life was filled with your baby. Watching them grow and making sure I was doing everything possible to make sure they started their lives the right way. Making sure each one was getting enough to eat, enough socialization time, that they were de-wormed and given their shots. I was the first person they saw when they opened their eyes. I spent my weeks playing with them and keeping them safe. I searched for you and interviewed you. As you spoke I tried to read your character. Would you love them as much as I do? Would you bring them in as part of your family? Would you care for this tiny life that I brought into this world that I am responsible for? Some of you were turned away but some of you were welcomed into our family. The day you took your baby home was harder than I'd ever let on. I was excited for you but I was also terrified. Had I chosen correctly? Were you who you seemed to be? My love and worry didn't end there. I thought about your baby regularly, saddened when I didn't get updates, ecstatic when I did. I hoped you were caring for your baby the way I care for mine. I answered your questions happily and answered them again just as happily to your babies siblings new parents. When your puppies sister ate a couch I stayed up that night she was at the vets, waiting to hear that she was ok. When their brothers parents decided he no longer fit in their life I welcomed him home, sorry that I had chosen wrong for him and promised him it wouldn't happen again. I loved your baby first and I will never stop. Our puppies have been placed all over the United States. They adapt easily to any environment and travel well. We have puppies happily living in downtown Atlanta, Nashville, Miami and other large cities. Some of our puppies live in typical suburban homes, others in a rural setting or on the beach. During the teething phase , your Goldendoodle puppy will find many different types of objects to chew on to relieve the pain from the new teeth coming in. But chewing on your furniture and shoes is usually not a wanted behavior. You should give your dog appropriate toys and teething devices during this time. If you have another pet in the house during the time that your Goldendoodle puppy is teething, monitor their playtime as sometimes these nips and bites can escalate into a serious fight. Since you will be taking your Goldendoodle to a groomer every couple of months they will be sure the ears are clean and alert you of any issues that may arise. Toenails—need to be trimmed every weeks. Your groomer or Vet can take care of this process for you. We do not remove dew claws these are kind of like a thumb and are located inside and an inch or two above the front paws. These nails will need trimmed occasionally as well. Hair on the bottom of the foot pads should also be trimmed off to insure good footing. Tear Staining — All dogs tear, but on a few it will stain muzzle below the eye to a dark brown. Often the tearing is due to hair touching the eye causing it to continually tear keeping the area below the eye wet. To prevent these stains, keep the hair below the eyes trimmed short and regularly dry with a tissue until the issue is resolved. Hair hanging over the eyes may cause irritation and excessive tearing. Keeping this hair trimmed up and away from the eyes will help to keep tearing minimal. If the eyes are crusty looking or have a yellowish green discharge, take her to the veterinarian as this is a sign of infection.
