After about a week you can now try taking the dog off the leash and walking with it outside to its potty spot. If the puppy goes on the grass in the spot you have trained it to go, say your word while it goes potty. This tells the dog they did a very good thing and should definitely do it again. This will help the dog want to hold it so that they can go outside and get 5 treats. Make sure someone is always watching the dog so you know when it has gone and so you can reward it.
