There are a few things pet owners can do to reduce the chance of hip and elbow dysplasia in their German Shepherd. Many of these dogs are also affected by degenerative spinal stenosis. It is recommended that you have some experience with more active dogs, as well. These dogs are quite active and tend to be high-energy.
