We usually have the vet come down to check the pups when they are about 2 weeks old and again at 6 or 7 weeks. We spend a lot of our time with the puppies, as do our children, Riley 6 and Janelle 4. Our children take great delight in playing with the puppies and falling in love with each and every one of them. None of the pups leave our kennel being shy or aggressive, we take pride in caring for them all as individuals before they move on to their new homes. The dams and pups then stay in the house with us until they are about 4 weeks old, or until we are certain that they are ready for the move into the kennel.
