The training methods we use are designed to teach behaviors as a secondary goal. We train our puppies to focus and think before we teach them to perform behaviors. We concentrate our attention on building confidence, self-control, resilience, an ability to focus, and a love of working for and pleasing a person. Our program is built around the idea that how a puppy is trained is more important than the behaviors they learn. Every aspect of our program is centered on the fact that to us behavior in young puppies should be secondary to attitude. Good behavior is taught as well. The very first thing we teach a puppy is to have and to enjoy having eye contact with a person. This type training will at the best produce puppies that reluctantly follow a handler and their food. The Foundation of Our Training Program The foundation of our program is teaching puppies to want to look at a handler and focus on them. We train our puppies to think instead of react. They figure out for themselves what they need to do in order to please a handler and get a reward. Our teaching methods are built on marker training and shaping instead of luring and leash pressure. Minimal Use of Luring Luring is simply having a puppy to get into a position by following a treat. We will occasionally use luring in the initial phase of training. However, we quickly change from luring to shaping and by far most of our training is done with shaping. Shaping — Our Primary Training Method Shaping is a training method that encourages a puppy to want to incrementally figure out on his own the behavior that a handler is wanting to train. We wait until a puppy starts to move in the direction of doing what we want. We reward as he gets closer to the desired behavior expecting more and more from him as he progresses. Shaping takes more time initially to train compared to traditional luring types of methods. However, the results are far better and longer lasting. We use treats but in a different way from lure-based trainers. Treats are not used as lures and bribes, but rather as rewards. In other words, our puppies are not shown the reward and asked to follow it around to entice them to work. It is only presented after the behavior is done. Puppies are encouraged to actively use their brains in order to engage the handler and to earn the reward. Our primary goal is to create in our puppies a desire to work and focus on a handler. Having puppies that are primarily focusing on the treats themselves is not enough. We want willing and happy working puppies that desire above all to please the handler. Even worse are puppies that are focused on avoiding a punishment. Formal obedience begins just after puppies are 6 weeks of age for most litters, at 6 weeks 2 days. Trained English Golden Retriever Puppies: A start in the following areas: Listed below is what we work on with these puppies. No puppy can be fully trained and dependable in any area until they are close to a year old. This program is just a start. House Training We take away all indoor litter areas before puppies are 6 weeks old. Starting the week prior, we work heavily with them making sure that all of them are doing all of their business outside. We make use a doggy door for this initial training. In fact, we believe that initial training done with a doggy door is better. A doggy door is a fantastic tool for initial house training. Rather, we gradually move toward puppies being house trained without it. See our page on House Training for more information. Consistency is key to successful house training and allowing a puppy to get himself out during the initial weeks paves the way for success. We wait until bladder control is sufficiently developed, until a love of a crate is sufficiently established, and until consistency in pottying outside has become habit before introducing a puppy to forced confinement without access to outside. All meals are fed in crates. Favorite bones are only given in crates. Puppies are given treats when they are sitting quietly in crates. We work hard to make sure that puppy crate time is not only tolerable, but that puppies actually like it. It is important that puppies develop a love for a crate before they are forced to spend long periods of time being confined. We start our crate-conditioning by leaving our puppies in their crates by slowly and incrementally increasing their crate times. This work takes place at meal times. By 10 weeks of age, our puppies are used to being crated for over 30 minutes at a time when wide awake. Training a puppy to be happy when awake is the hard part. If puppies are asleep, puppies are happy in there for much longer. By the time puppies are 12 weeks 3 day, they are used to being in crates for up to 2 hours during the day and most are happy in their crates for more than 7 hours overnight. Preliminary Work on elimination of bad Behaviors We begin working on elimination of bad behaviors such as jumping and mouthing by reinforcing good behaviors. We never rewarding the bad ones. Puppies are interacted with in such a way that they physically are unable to get to our hands with their mouths. Instead, we re-direct them. We play with them with toys instead of our hands. We never pet puppies over 8 weeks when they jump on either us or on the side of a pen. Instead we teach them to sit for attention. These bad behaviors take far more time to get rid of than this short training time provides. However, we start the process. Puppies and dogs also learn very quickly who will allow them to jump on them and who will not. New families must be consistent and continue the training. It also teaches puppies to make eye contact and to have self-control. We work with each puppy individually on getting in a crate, turning and sitting, and holding eye contact. Then we release them to eat. Puppies then spend increasingly longer periods of time in the crate with bones and random treats. This routine is carried out 3 times a day at meal times. The video below shows a condensed version of a typical meal time training session of our trained English Golden Retriever puppies at 8 weeks of age. By the time puppies leave us, this routine has built into our puppies an incredible amount of self-control. Keep in mind that these puppies are just beginning to learn these skills. Basic Obedience Building internal qualities in a puppy such as confidence, self-control, resilience, the ability to focus, and a desire to work for and please a person is our main goal. Teaching a puppy to focus and look at his owner is the one of the foundations of our training. Our primary goal is to produce puppies that want to look to their owners for direction. We teach these puppies to do so out of habit and a desire to please. It is not necessary to have puppies obey out of fear. Basic obedience includes work on heeling, coming when called, the sit and down commands, staying in position, and an introduction to the place command. We also work on good manners such as sitting for attention without jumping, waiting for a verbal release before exiting crates and pens, etc. See our page on our Training Changes for more information. Desensitization and Socialization English Golden Retrievers tend toward having softer temperaments and need more socialization than many other breeds. Overall, the imported lines tend to be calmer with softer temperaments than American Goldens and certainly much calmer than American Golden field lines. Therefore, more socialization is needed. We expose our puppies to the normal sites and sounds of a busy home. Our puppies are exposed to various outdoor areas, to various floor and ground surfaces, and to tight spaces. Our puppies are introduced to small agility equipment. We introduce them to steps, and to a variety of sounds. However, starting at 9 weeks of age, all puppies are brought on weekly mule rides. Our mule is not an animal! Rather it is a 4-wheel drive vehicle that provides a tremendous socialization experience. We also take puppies on weekly car rides starting at 7 weeks. Our Mule The mule rides are super environmental desensitization experiences. On these mule rides, we expose puppies to a wide variety of roads, neighborhoods, sights, and sounds. In addition, the experience of the mule itself is valuable. The mule is loud and sometimes a little bumpy. It is a great way to acclimate puppies to sounds as well as to the roughest car rides they would likely ever experience. Our mule rides are super desensitization opportunities. Puppies sit in a lap and enjoy being petted. They stick their noses in the air and smell all kinds of new smells. While they are enjoying the breeze, they hear all kinds of new sounds. They see a whole new world of different sights. Puppies that stay with us for our 12 Weeks program have 3 field trips to places that are close enough to our home to get to by the mule. We stop and practice obedience exercises on leash in these distracting environments. An especially challenging place that we take our puppies is alongside a busy highway. Our puppies are also socialized with a wide variety of people. This page also gives details as to what you can expect if you pick your puppy up at 11 week. Trained English Golden Retriever Puppies Options We offer several training options that are all discussed in detail on our expectations page. However, for most of our litters, we only offer a couple of these options. There is an 8 week option, a 10 week option, an 11 week option, and a 12 week option. For most families, we recommend our 11 week program. See our page on The Best Time for Puppies to Leave the Breeder to understand why we keep most if not all of our puppies until at least 9 weeks 5 days. Instead, we divert their attention from undesirable habits. We provide them plenty of exercise. We control their environment so that they have no choice but to behave themselves. They learn quickly that if they want attention, they must behave on our terms. This method of training works far better than punishment based training. However, it takes time for bad behaviors to extinguish themselves. By weeks of age, hardly any of our puppies mouth us. Jumping is minimal when one-on-one with individual puppies. However, at this young age, they are still figuring out what is acceptable and what is not. For more information, see our Training Philosophy page. This sets these young puppies up for success rather than giving them all sorts of temptations. Our philosophy of training embraces the idea of not adding difficulty to an exercise or temptations for bad behavior until habits of good behavior are firmly established. For example, we keep our shoes off the floor rather than punishing a puppy for chewing them. We provide lots of toys so that there is no need to chew the furniture. When they do, we simply divert their attention rather than punish them. A well-timed punishment can have its results in deterring certain behaviors. However, punishments come with a price. Importance of Training Method The method used by a trainer is more important than what is taught, especially in puppyhood. Any trainer can quickly teach almost any behavior using punishment based or aversive training. Though punishment based training can give quicker results for the short-term, positive training gives longer lasting results. However, it is only a start. Families must pick up where we leave off. Our website has plenty of instructional pages to help. Pricing and Pick Up Options The price for the training for our three training programs is on our puppy questionnaire. The price of puppies is due not including training fees when puppies are 5 weeks of age the same policy as for puppies leaving at 8 weeks. Training fees must be received by us at least two weeks before puppies are picked up or they must be paid by cash or certified funds. We provide a receipt if payment is by cash. As of the end of June , to our knowledge no airline requires a health certificate for in-cabin flights. Delta required a health certificate for in-cabin travel for a part of .However, they have now reversed that policy and no longer require one. Keep in mind, though, that airline requirements are changing daily. Please consult your own airline. Make sure that whoever you are speaking with understands that you are asking about in-cabin travel. All airlines require health certificates for travel underneath. They must travel with their families in the cabin. Trust the answers you get online. They are the official answers. I Karen do the initial obedience training myself along with our 28 year old daughter Jenna starting with our late litters. We also have a team who help keep things running smoothly. Our team works with puppies on potty training, socializing, and obedience skills already trained. In the past our team has consisted of three high schoolers that all worked for us for over three years. However, starting with our litters, two of the three have moved off to college. While it may confuse you at first, it will be easy once you get familiar with them. The Number The number is the main indicator of what generation the Goldendoodle is. For example, the number 1 is for the first generation and 2 would be for the second generation. That letter means backcross. This is an indicator that the Goldendoodle generation was to bred back to a purebred poodle. While some are bred back to a purebred Golden Retriever, however, this is not common. What are the Different Goldendoodle Generations? F1 — First Generation An F1 is the direct result of breeding a golden retriever with a poodle. The mixture of genes tends to lead to a decrease in the health risks that may be associated with purebred specimens. Shedding — The majority are light-shedding to heavy-shedding. Because furnishing genes are dominant, it takes just one copy of this gene to present in long hair on the face. However, two furnishing genes are necessary to facilitate a non-shedding coat. The curl genes involved in each generation will dictate the type of coat each puppy inherits. Golden Retrievers carry zero curl genes whereas Poodles carry two curl genes. All F1s will inherit a total of one copy of the curl gene allowing their coats to be wavy in general. For those puppies who inherit no curl genes, their coats will be straight to slightly wavy. Until that point, the only way to know if a breeder was producing high-shedding or flat-coated Goldendoodles was via trial and error. We now know that the curl and furnishing genes are unrelated and that the curl genes have no impact on the shedding factor. They are known for their friendliness, being the perfect family pet, and being great for first-time dog owners. They were bred with this very purpose in mind. Of course, their precious appearance helps too! The coats are typically wavy due to inheriting one curl gene from the Poodle and no curl genes from the Golden Retriever. F1 Goldendoodles benefit from hybrid vigor making them healthier than their purebred parents. F1 Goldendoodles have proven to have better longevity than their pure breed ancestors. This hybrid vigor comes from crossing two unrelated dog breeds. F1 Goldendoodles cannot be guaranteed to be non-shedding. F1 Goldendoodles can also come in smaller sizes. This allows smaller genes to affect the outcome of the size of the offspring. There is no way of knowing ahead of time how these two inherited traits will match up in any individual puppy. In the other F1B option of crossing an F1 Goldendoodle with a Golden Retriever, no puppies will inherit two curl genes and no puppies will inherit two furnishing genes. This pairing will likely produce higher shedding coats that will be straight or wavy. Additionally, the F1B Goldendoodle can also benefit from hybrid vigor. Under the healthiest and most cognizant of circumstances, these Goldendoodles can be healthier than their purebred parents. These benefits will only be fortuitous should your breeder be careful about choosing their breeding pairs utilizing health screening protocols. The hybrid vigor will not diminish if the breeder is thorough in health testing and ensures that the parent breed lines are uncrossed, meaning that the parents are unrelated. Like the other generations of Goldendoodles, the F1B generation is highly intelligent, easily trainable, and beautiful. They are created by crossing two F1 Goldendoodles. This generation requires careful selection of parents based on the traits desired in the offspring. Each puppy has equal chances of inheriting zero, one, or two furnishing genes as well as zero, one, or two curl genes. These genes can be inherited in any combination in a single puppy. Puppies inheriting two furnishing genes will likely be non-shedding. Puppies inheriting one furnishing gene will have reduced shedding most likely equal to an F1 Goldendoodle. Those inheriting no furnishing genes will have coats very similar to a Golden Retriever including a smooth face and moderate to heavy shedding. Zoey is a very much loved dog but sadly not given the time an energetic dog like her needs, she deserves a new loving home where she will enjoy the exercise and stimulation she so desperately needs. Benson - Suffolk Benson is a 1yr old neutered male. He was rehomed by GSDR a few months ago but has returned as there have been changes within the family circumstances, and they can no longer cope with him. Benson has become over protective of his current owner and hence has issues with other dogs when out walking. He needs a firm, experienced owner who will teach him boundaries and acceptable behaviour. This young dog will blossom into a loyal friend with the right guidance. Shiloh - west mids This poor little sad girl is 3 year old Shiloh who is up to date with her vaccinations, is micro-chipped and spayed. She is a very nervous young dog and takes time to settle when visitors arrive but is exceedingly affectionate to her people. She is in desperate need of a home where the new owner will preferably not have any other pets or young children and will be able to devote the time and dedication to this very loving dog. Blue 3 year old entire handsome white German Shepherd who is currently in foster care due to previous owners lack of confidence to control and train. Unfortunately Blue suffers from fear aggression and tries to nip and frighten anyone he first meets but the foster carer can already see improvement day to day and Blue is beginning to trust humans again and be more relaxed and settled within their home. With patience and time preferably the only pet and no children Blue should make a fabulous pet for an experienced GSD home. Micro-chipped, vaccinated and medically fit. Saber Very fit and lively 10 year old, entire. Loves to play and cuddles. Unfortunately due to family constraints Saber is living in a very confined space and left for long periods of time. He has lived with a child but due to his size it would be best to place him with older ones, can live with a steady dog but a definite no to cats!! He was originally found on the streets as a stray and his previous owner spent a lot of time in training him and received a lot of certificates, he even went to work with his owner in the office. We were informed he needed careful introduction to new people he meets but he is now in kennels and has met so many people and staff and has not been an issue; in fact they all adore him. Anyone with experience, looking for a large dog, look no further, Frank is your dog!! Although he currently lives with young children it is advised due to his excitable behaviour and size he is rehomed with much older children, he has not been socialised with other dogs but our assessor said that with time, effort and the right owner he will be fine with them but a definite no to cats. He has been neutered and micro-chipped but his vaccinations are now out of date. Although he never went to puppy class he knows basic commands but gets distracted, with an experienced owner he will make a fantastic dog who is in desperate need of stimulation and exercise. Sadly, as in many of these cases, the breeder was only interested in the money and not the long term welfare of the dog; Rocky has become too much for his current family and are unable to give him the time and stimulation a fabulous dog like him requires. Can you? Tala - Notts This lovely lad is 2 year old Tala who is up to date with his vaccinations and entire. He currently lives with children but would be best placed with much older, more experienced ones, loves to play with other dogs but a definite no to cats. Tala will need firm handling and will need to know who is the leader certainly not him! He is housetrained, travels well and will make a fabulous dog in the right home where he will be stimulated and allowed the chance to have a good run out in the fields. Camy - Lou Camy Lou is a beautiful 5yr old spayed bitch. She is a calm and friendly dog in the house. She loves her walks, being outside and also likes swimming so can be a little excitable when she thinks she is about to go out. Camy Lou has had a rough start to life. Her current owners rescued her a year ago. She was in quite a sorry state but with time and patience they have got her to where she is today. She is insured and vaccinated. Camy Lou is great with people but she suffers from toy aggression. Camy Lou responds to basic commands and has a good recall unless she is distracted by a stick or toy. Her current owners love her dearly but are sadly unable to keep her as she attacked one of their other dogs, while in the home, because of a stick. This gorgeous girl has a lot of love to give and would benefit from an experienced GSD owner with no other pets and no children. Layla - Norfolk Layla is a lovely 2yr old bitch in desperate need of some love and attention. She was being kept in a run down, outside kennel with straw as her only comfort. She is quite underweight and has little muscle tone on her back end. This will improve once she is being fed and exercised more regularly. Her owner is seriously ill and has moved away to be with his family leaving Layla to be looked after by a man, who was trying to help the owner out, but who has struggled due to his own workload and other commitments. This young girl needs time, patience and most of all love to steer her back onto the road to good health. She would ideally suit an experienced owner without young children. Willow - Nuneaton Let me introduce you to the utterly gorgeous, big boy Willow. He is 4 years old 5 in Jul , entire and not vaccinated. Due to his size and strength it would be best to rehome him to a family with much older teenagers or no children at all, definitely no cats and needs to be carefully introduced to other dogs. Our assessor did find him to be a little lively but soon calmed down and Willow enjoyed a fuss and a cuddle. Willow is very large dog and has not be shown any ground rules and therefore his new owners need to work with him but in return they will have a fabulous dog! Buddy - West Mids This lovely dog is 8 years young Buddy who is entire and vaccinations are overdue. He currently lives with a family, a cat, loves to play with other dogs in the park and previously lived with dogs in a former home. The family are no longer able to keep Buddy due to his food aggression and behaviour towards various members of the family. However, our assessor found him to be a lovely, friendly dog who was energetic and this was no doubt due to not getting enough exercise or stimulation. In the right home he would make a fabulous addition and would suit an active family preferably with older children due to his excitable nature. Petra Petra is 5 and unspayed. She has never lived with children but was fine with young children she met out. Petra does not like little dogs or cats, and she will stand up for herself with larger dominating dogs. She has been living with a male GSD and her two 5 month daughters. Friendly with people who are friendly to her. Her recall is good as long as she is not distracted. Petra does have a joint problem on her right rear leg and will struggle if walked more than about 4 miles in a day. Poor Petra has had a horrible start in life. The owner used to beat his wife and no doubt at some stag Petra too. She is very nervous of lighters and matches! She will need confident and understanding owners. Current owner rehoming as mobility issues walking all of the dogs! Louie - Coventry This lovely friendly lad is 8 years young Louie. He is neutered, vaccinated and house trained. He is sadly overweight due to lack of exercise but when our assessor took him out she found he eventually walked well on the lead after initially pulling and responded well to commands but could not test his recall. A definite no to cats and dogs he will dominate them so would be best placed as an only dog and to further socialise with other dogs. Louie is a water baby, loves to swim but doesn't like to go out of his depth, travels well in the car but hates fireworks! A friendly dog who really enjoys the attention he deserves and needs a home soon! Bruno - Cambs Bruno is a longhaired 4yr old entire male. He currently lives in a barn but is chained up as he keeps escaping and has killed the neighbours prize chickens. The neighbours have threatened legal action if Bruno is not re-homed soon. While chained Bruno shows aggression and will nip, but when off the chain he is a completely different character and is very friendly. He responded to simple commands and took treats from our assessor. Bruno is good with children, other dogs and cats. We are unsure if he is house trained but he does not mess in his barn. He is not currently walked and so will need some lead training. He shows no aggression when allowed to be free and will make a great addition to the right home. This young man just needs a chance to be a pet rather than a yard dog. Bailey - Suffolk Bailey is a friendly 5yr old neutered male. He has shown some aggression issues in his current home but he is being left to his own devices for long periods and is under stimulated. Our volunteer found Bailey to be very social and saw no signs of aggression. He needs an experienced GSD owner that can spend the time needed to channel Baileys attentions in a positive direction. Can you offer Bailey the home he so urgently needs? Jake - Suffolk Jake is a 3yr old neutered male. He is currently being left alone for long periods, not walked or groomed. Despite his lack of attention Jake is a friendly boy. He needs an experienced owner who can go back to basics and teach him some manners and give him some guidance on acceptable behaviour. Jakes long coat needs a good groom. This young dog is desperate for a home where he will be loved and receive the attention and exercise that every dog deserves. Theo This beautiful boy is 4 year old Theo who will need an experienced owner to provide him with time for exercise and socialisation. He currently lives with another dog and children but would now be best placed with much older teenagers. Although he lives with another dog and gets on well with her, he does not like other dogs when out. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. He requires a home with GSD experience who will guide and stimulate him, in return you will have a fabulous loving dog. He is up to date with vaccinations, neutered and micro-chipped. He is good with children but will need to be homed as the only pet as he likes to enjoy all the fuss and tummy tickles for himself; and following an attack by another dog when he was only 15 weeks old he can no longer tolerate other dogs or any other furry creatures. He is house-trained and has good basic commands. He has unfortunately been diagnosed with hip dysplasia but thanks to his good muscle tone the vet has advised he does not require an operation; the current pet insurance is transferrable. Our assessor found him to be a friendly and pleasant dog, walked well on the lead; his current owner sadly has to give him up as she is unable to control him around other dogs and the other pets in the home. He will suit an experienced owner who will understand his behaviour and provide him with the guidance and manners he requires. Lulu - Nuneaton This beautiful little girl is 3 year old Lulu who is fully vaccinated and micro-chipped and spayed and currently in foster. She has previously lived with children and is ok with most dogs but cannot tolerate small ones and definitely no cats. She is fully house trained but will require further training as she will pull on the lead and needs to learn a few manners. She suffers with dust and food allergies and is currently on medication and a special diet for this; she is currently insured and this is transferrable. She will require a firm handler who can provide her with the guidance and socialization she requires as well as the care needed with her allergy. A lovely girl who needs a chance to enjoy another loving home. He went to attack Ash on a number of occasions, Ash soon showed him who the boss was good lad. This shows he can be ok with the correct guidance. He is a big strong boy so pulls on lead. We would recommend that no small children as he is a very big lad. You are his life, his love, his leader. I know I did when my wife persuaded us to go and see our own dog for the first time. Of the four of them, this one little fella scampered over to me and immediately started chewing on my knuckles. That when I fell in love with him. It was a really simple decision in which one we wanted to take home. As you know, we went on to name him Claude. But, given hindsight, there are some questions I would have asked the breeder before deciding to buy him. And there are also some things I should have looked for too. It was our first ever dog though, so hindsight is a wonderful thing. However, there are unscrupulous breeders and there are certain health and physical problems view all Frenchie health conditions and concerns you should check for before you get too excited. It also includes some questions to ask a breeder when buying a French Bulldog puppy. Choose a male puppy if you want a more energetic dog: or a female if you want a more relaxed dog. There are subtle behavioural differences in the two genders which you can read in this blog post where I discuss the differences between male and female Frenchies. Make sure your breeder is knowledgeable: on breeding and cares for the puppies. I would always do online research into the breeder before I would even visit them. Be wary of what seems to be an abnormally low price: this can be a sign of an unhealthy puppy. Red eye can be a signal of a health problem. Ask the breeder how many litters the mother has had: a French Bulldog should only really have 1 litter a year , preferably only one every couple of years. Any more than that is a warning sign that she is being over-bred, and health issues could be present. Ask if the puppy has been checked by a vet: and has had the relevant vaccinations. If not, walk away as this should be handled by the breeder before the puppies go on sale. It can give you some insight into what type of dog your Frenchie puppy is going to grow into. If the breeder refuses to let you see the mother, then walk away as this is a huge warning sign. Ask if the parents have had health checks: as this can give you insight into any potential health problems further down the line. Conditions to look out for include hip problems, cataracts, cherry eye , deafness, and soft palate issues. Ask how old the parents are: if the mother is less than 3 years old, any genetic health conditions might not yet have manifested themselves. Ask how often the puppies have been handled: the more the young pups have been handled by humans frequently it will be far easier to get him used to all the excitement in store when you get him home. Ask to speak to a previous client: the best breeders will be more than happy to let you talk with people who have previously bought a Frenchie puppy from them. Ask for a hearing test: whilst this might not always be possible, it is a concern. White Frenchies in particular can develop hearing loss at birth due to a congenital issue. When buying your Frenchie, you need a caring breeder that gladly answers your questions and shows you the parents and tell you about their history and problems. There are millions of homeless doggies and it should be your first inclination to save a dog from otherwise unfavorable conditions than to support further capitalistic breeding of animals. That said, we realize that buying a French Bulldog is sometimes irresistible. Where to Buy a French Bulldog If it is your intention to buy a French Bulldog puppy from a breeder, you must remember to only ever agree to buy a puppy that is registered with the American Kennel Club AKC , any other registry should be considered fake and a scam, and you should report the person attempting to sell French Bulldogs through these registries to your local humane society or to the closest ASPCA branch. Breeders attempting to sell puppies through registries like the CKC are likely guilty of animal cruelty and potentially deadly living conditions. Please understand that you may have to drive several hundred miles in order to find a reputable, safe, and dependable breeder to purchase your French Bulldog. Further, you can just call the AKC and they can help put you in contact with local breeders in your state or regional area: contact the AKC. Calling the AKC and asking for help is the easiest way to find out where to buy a french bulldog. This is an amateur mistake and you need to be very cautious of your own emotions. You must loosely follow these steps below to protect yourself and your new friend: 1. I love to kayak the many springs in Florida and Max loves paddling too, riding just behind me on a pad I affix to the top of my kayak, even accompanied me on 4 day river sandbar camping paddle. Max also loves to boss around Tout d'Suite, my 20 black cat, and eat all his cat food. I keep him groomed in the continental cut and he prances like a little prince, on or off the leash. He's very polite and doesn't beg or steal people's food. Max loves to engage me or Tout d'Suite in a lively game of chase. I love my buddy! Penny is 2 years old and weighs 5 pounds 2.
