Resting his head on her arm and giving her puppy dog eyes, Alfie can be heard whining for her attention. In less than 24 hours, the adorable video received over 15, likes and over , views. This stock photo shows a Golden Retriever lying on the floor and looking up at its owner with puppy-dog eyes. TikTok users demanded one dog owner named Amy give her Golden, Alfie, cuddles immediately after he became jealous of a stuffed animal she was kissing. Conducted by the University of Auckland and published in the journal Psychological Science, the study confirmed that our furry friends get jealous when their owners interact with other "rival" dogs. For the experiment, researchers paired 18 dog owners with realistic-looking fake dogs to test their pets' reactions. When their owners interacted with the fake dog, the animals tried to forcefully reach their owners, but when their owners were paired with a fleece cylinder, they showed less concern. Lead author Amalia Bastos said the results are the first to prove that dogs display jealous behavior.
