If you are looking for the best quality Pug puppy breeder in Hawaii HI state , then you are in the perfect spot! They are now one of the most favorite pets for many urban people looking for small but loyal dogs. Nowadays, many sellers will pretend to breed healthy, purebred puppies only to deliver puppies that are sick or mixed breeds in different states let alone Hawaii. Some people simply vanish after being paid. They are a kennel-based puggy breeder who is very conscious about their pups. They raise the puppies with a lot of love and care. They do not hesitate to provide the best facilities to their little babies. At Shaolin Pugs, the dogs stay in the house or at work with the breeders most of the time. They separate their dogs in different runs based on different criteria. The owner particularly uses this apartment to keep their Puggies healthy, safe, and germ-free. Shaolin Pugs starts to train their puppy litter at the age of days old. They raise their pups to be socialized and obedient so that they can easily adjust to their new house. They are also concerned about the new owner. They make sure that the pup parents do not have to bear a lot to manage the little pooch. Their pugs get their parental clicker training at the age of 30 days. Shaolin Pugs do not compromise with anything while producing quality pups. To know more about them and have a look at the available pugs, do not forget to check out their website. Pugs are the most noticeable breeds in the Dogdom, with their chopped-up, saggy faces, bug-like dangling eyes, squat, skinny legs, and wavy, pig-like tails. Pugs are available in four basic colors: fawn, silver-fawn, apricot-fawn, and black. The most common in Hawaii is a fawn pug. Actually, approximately two-thirds of all pugs are fawn in color. They range in color from light cream to dark cream, with varying shades of gold. They may have red, orange, or silver undertones as well. Not only do these colors differ, but they can also be shaded differently, with some areas of the body being a different color than others. Where can I take my Pug in Hawaii? Though Puggies are not an athlete type of dog breed, they need an optimum amount of exercise to stay fit and healthy. You can take your pup for a walk with you in the morning or evening. You can also take your furry friend for a little jogging if you want. But make sure your pup can keep pace with you. Walking for three miles a day is sufficient for the pug puppies. But if your pooch is a few weeks old or never has walked before, do not take it for such a long walk. You can also take your pup to a dog park. Pugs are more likely to get adjusted with other dogs and children. Why to avoid puppy mills and backyard breeders while choosing a Pug Puppy in Hawaii? Purchasing a Pug puppy from a puppy mill or backyard breeder is not the wisest decision in my opinion. In general, I do not recommend that people purchase any breed of dog from a pet store. Because puppy mills or backyard puppies choose their business profit over the well-being of the pups. Pugs are very adorable, loyal, and easy to control in general. But in puppy mills or backyard breeders, do not ensure that the Puggies are purebred. Besides, they do not provide sufficient veterinary care and treatment that a pup deserves. So, once you get a Pug from them, you may have to suffer because of their carelessness. Is it a good idea to get a Pug Puppy from a rescue center in Hawaii? Why Not? Purchasing a Pug puppy from a Hawaii rescue center is not always the best option in my opinion. A significant number of rescue dogs have a troubled past and are not fully trained and vetted at such a young age. As a result, they are not as social and friendly as they would be if they stayed at home. Though Puggies are considered as one of the best breeds of pets, they still need all types of veterinary care and socializing training to adapt to any environment. But at a rescue center, the pooches do not get these necessary treatments. It becomes difficult for the owner to deal with the dog later. As a result, there is no guarantee that a Puggy pooch will be perfectly healthy. Having such a dog as a constant companion can be dangerous and harmful at times. For all of these reasons, getting your little furry friend from a genuine Pug breeder is the best option. Are Pugs good for first time owners? Pugs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs. People who truly love pugs have a separate and special fan base. Pugs are generally loyal, adorable, playful, and funny to be with. And that makes them a really good breed for the first-time owners. Though pugs need their regular walk or exercises, they are not athletic dogs. Now whether these toy dogs will be the best option for you depends based on what you want in a pet. Pugs are wonderful dogs, but they are not for everyone. The Pug temperament is one of stubbornness, and it will require a patient and understanding owner. They are, however, extremely loyal and are raised to satisfy their owners. They make excellent pets for families and anyone with the patience to train a playful breed. What do I need to know about Pug puppies? Pugs are insatiably curious creatures who are constantly on the lookout for new things to do. They are known to be attention seekers. They become unhappy if they make a mistake. Pugs are easy to train. They are also particularly fond of food. Pugs are prone to putting on weight due to their physique and proclivity to overeat. Pug puppies are also good with other dogs and children. They can adapt to people easily and are very playful. The average lifespan of a pug puppy is years. How to raise a Pug puppy? They make excellent family pets and can be trained in a variety of skills ranging from adherence to adaptability. To raise a Pug puppy, you must strictly adhere to its diet, early social interaction, and training classes. You should also ensure that they are vaccinated at the proper age, their tails are docked, they are dewormed, and their dew claws are removed. Pugs are low-maintenance dogs. Pugs, contrary to popular belief, shed, and their coarse short hair requires regular grooming. Pugs respond well in training sessions if positive reinforcement is applied. How long are Pugs in the puppy stage? The period of the puppy stage varies from breed to breed. In the case of Pugs, the puppy stage stays up to twelve to eighteen months. A Pug is considered an adult at the age of one year, though he or she may still exhibit puppy-like characteristics. Between the ages of twelve and eighteen months, puppies usually develop the mental maturity and personality of an adult dog. Some of the Puggies may show puppy attitude up to two years. Why are purebred Pug puppies expensive in Hawaii? Pug puppies cost more than other toy pups found in backyards, mills, or pet stores. Because breeders are strongly concerned about the welfare and safety of their puppies. They simply do not see it as a viable source of income. Rather, they do it with passion and enthusiasm. Even if the price is a little high, original dog breeders will always choose the best facilities for their mutts, such as food, kennels, healthcare, veterinary checks, and so on. As a result, a purebred Pug puppy is a little pricey anywhere let alone HI State. How do I find a good Pug breeder in Hawaii? To be honest, finding a genuine Pug breeder in Hawaii is not a piece of cake. You have to research a lot and to find out the best breeder of the State. Many pet stores or mills sell these toy dogs, but their primary goal is to make a profit off of these little pups. Your friends, family, or any well-known person can also be of great help if they are aware of any reputable Pug breeders. You can also use social media in your authentic Pug breeder hunting mission. Do not miss any dog show around you. There are always some breeders present in a dog show. You may get your desired breeder there on whom you can actually rely on. If you want, you can go to their website and have a look. There is no doubt that they are one of the top toy dog breeders in Hawaii. Why are Pugs so popular in Hawaii? Pugs are very fond of children and are strong enough to play as long as it is not too rough. Pugs are extremely friendly, and their energy and desire to cuddle and sleep make them an excellent choice for a family dog. Puggies are also very smart, playful, clever, and quick learners. With proper training, care and love, they become the best companion of humans. Pugs love everyone they meet, but they do have a favorite person who they will stick to and follow around everywhere. The adorable wrinkles and big bug eyes of a pug do more than just make it look cute. How much does a purebred Pug puppy cost in Hawaii? The cost of a Pug puppy is determined by a number of factors. The majority of purebred Puggies come with being potty trained, registration papers, veterinarian examination, health certificate, health guarantee, and so on. The price may decrease or increase depending on the number of features provided by the breeders. If the toy dog you choose comes from the champion breeding line, the price may increase a little. I bid you beware of giving your heart to a dog to tear. We are a small show kennel located in Hilo Hawaii. Foundation pugs making up our pack are all Champions and all imported. We are proud of all of them and their accomplishments. Each pug was selected for specific matching attributes long before arrival to our home and kennel. Our 1st pug Am CH. Shang is retired from the confirmation ring and currently does us very proud with preformances in obedience trials. Our little buddy practices with the group every saturday at St. Joseph's School in Hilo and shows about 4 times per year. Shang took 1st place at his last show. .Every pug has to have a job in our home. .Shang brings home the bacon, ribbons and prizes now in obedience. Perry, Queensland, AU for being indirectly responsible for Shang sharing our lives. We also thank this couple for sharing their homes and lives with us on our recent trip down under! Terry even had the previledge of showing one of Margaret's pugs in degree heat. .Thats Australia for ya! Kept the dogs cool with ice and put ice in our hats to stay cool in the ring. Thanks to Margaret and Graham! Shang appears to be my "protector" and likes nothing better than to go to work with me and watch out after me under my desk. Our 2nd pug Am CH. Shackie is true to the breed standard with Sire AU. We appreciate the many hours of on line education Richard and Anne Costen of Saxten Kennel have provided to us. This couple have been line breeding pugs for 25 years. Saxten Kennel has racked up and impressive number of champions and BIS winners over the years. We have found that the long standing line bred feature in the Saxten pugs brings a lot to the breeding table. Shackie received his title in as well as Group 1 placement at his last show. We look forward to bringing Shackie out for more shows in as he is a winner AND fun to show. Lord Shackelton 1st explored Antartica at the beginning of the 19th century. He and his crew became strained and landed in Tasmania making an incredible story short. As a pup Shackie was an "explorer" so Richard and Anne named him Shackelton. Shackie is my best buddy. Our pugs live in a pack and it appears that Shackie is the pack Alpha. It is very interesting for me to watch pack behaviors. Shackie watches out for all his "ladies". We all honor Shackie except Shang. Shang and Bella seem to be their own pack at times. Then Bella seems to work between both packs. Everybody loves Bella, doesn't matter what she does. Our 3rd pug Am CH. Bonnie has a fantastic background including mum Ch. Bonnie easily attained her American Championship title in a little over a year after arrival. Bonnie is the result of planned line breedings by the Saxten Kennel for which we are pleased. This pug has an incredible golden coat. You may see a couple good photo shots of this coat under her name on this website. By the way.Bonnie came from a litter that where all named after old world Roses. Bonica is a beautiful old world sweet smelling rose. Bonnie is my "soul Sista". Bonnie is also apparently a nurse. Bonnie can spot a troubled painful spot on humans and gives it great interest and often licks the spot. Bonnie can also find painful spots on the other pugs and licks them as well. Most recently in Hawaii Bella earned her American Championship in three shows with three 5 point majors. Bella is from Heroncrest Kennel in Ontario and is an exceptionally well put together bitch being very short backed. Heroncrest's Drama Queen. Bella is now working on her American Grand Championship. We are contemplating motherhood for .Bella's uncle is: Am CH. Grandsires are: Am CH. Bella was named after a casino in Las Vegas.True to her name she has been a very lucky girl. Bella is also a fantastic cuddle doggy which I enjoy perhaps most of all! Our 5th pug AM CH. Vito has only been shown one weekend at the Hilo show and did extremely well. At the one show Vito earned 8 points two 3 point majors as well as Group 4 this weekend. Vito is a golden pug like his mom, square body, straight back and lovely big round head like his dad. One of the features about Vito that I like best is that his noseroll is not black which makes his facial features stunning also like his mom. Sarah will be showing Vito next spring. We currently are getting his Rabies titers completed in order to show him next year on the mainland. Vito is a stunning pup who received many many compliments and lots of head turning at the recent show. Vito lives with Sarah and her husband Kevin and has recently learned to swim like a champ and romps in the woods like a bird dog. What a puggy! Jada's mom is Bonnie and Sire is Bosco. This little lady was my pick on the day she was born i think. Jada has an incredible head , is very short backed and has great "attitude". It will be interesting to see how she does in the show ring for .Jada is quite bossy and sassy with all who love her. We all love Jada of course. Jada just got two points at the Hilo Orchid Isle show which we are proud of. Our foundation dogs are 1st of all our beloved companions and secondly creating some incredible pups for the ring. We are proud of them all. Bella is bred and appears to be pregnant and happy. We are excited to announce that Bella is bred to CH. Tupelo Showboat Tu China Tu. This is a line breeding for Bella. Needless to say we are holding our breath with excitement. JUNE 8, .Bonnie appears to be pregnant and happy. We are excited about this breeding as she is bred to Ch. Saxten Shackelton which is a line breeding. I am totally stoked if Bonnie is pregnant. Fingers crossed. JUNE 11, Bella in season. Bella is fit as a fiddle and ready to go. To "whom" might she be bred too on might ask? JUNE 10, Shackie got another leg on his 1st obedience title this weekend. He is such a good boy. Also, fingers crossed, Shackie may be a daddy. Vito qualifies for Eukanuba .Lujah is sitting on 12 points and is headed for HKC show next weekend. We have our fingers crossed for this beautiful pup. Lani win a 4 point major and will go to HKC sitting on 1 major and 7 points. Shackie also got his 1st Obedience Leg. We are acceptionally proud of Shackie as he has been working very well with Terry on his Obedience training for weeks prior to this competition. Shackie is the only pug we have that competes both in conformation and obedience. Hilo Orchid Isle show. Bella Received her Grand Championship on .Shown by Brittany George. We are so proud. Photo's soon. We had a lot of fun!! Lani one of Bella' pup's from this year's breeding won 3 point. Miss Bella is 1 point from her Gr. We have our fingers crossed that she will finish this year at Windward or Hilo show. .Jada, Sara, Shen, Vito and Ruby. We owe great thanks to Kevin Woodworth for his excellent handling of this fine pup. We showed 3 pug pups today. They actually all showed very well and we are proud of each of them. Stay tuned as next weekend we have our second fun match of the season. Our sweet Shaolin's Jade Dragon aka Jada placed 2nd in breed. Was a great match for us. Many thanks to both of these folks. Shaolin's Jade Dragon aka Jada placed 3rd in breed.

Information to come! This means that for every litter, Sergeants Boxers will go down the list and offer puppies to the families in order of deposits received. The family may choose a puppy from the current litter or may pass to wait for a later litter. Even if the family initially expressed the desire for a puppy from a future litter early in the conversation, they will still be asked if they would like to select a puppy when the current litter selections start. Selections start at each litter's 6 weeks of age mark. This allows the families to not only pick from color, but also from personality. Please know that these can change at any time and are only listed for reference. This is non-negotiable. Aug 18, Share Boxers were originally bred in Germany as guard dogs in the 18th century. This medium to large-sized dog was bred as a cross between the Bullenbeisser dog now extinct and the Bulldog. The Boxers we know and love today for their silliness and energy have emerged from a Molosser-type dog that was used in hunting. It is important to note that officially there is only one type of Boxer breed that has different bloodlines. Sometimes, these bloodlines are mixed, while other times they are absolutely pure. There are no variant types or official sub-categories in the official sense. However, there are plenty of morphological differences among Boxer breeds to consider. Below are the different types of Boxer dog breeds and their differences. The 3 Types of Boxer Dogs 1. The dog is preferred for its slightly larger frame as compared to the UK and American Boxer. The bones are dense and large, which helps give the musculature a slightly more pronounced definition. The width of the thigh in this breed is slightly wider as compared to others. A feature typical to German Boxers is the length between their skull and snout. The length is exactly in the ratio of in German Boxers with a pure bloodline. The snout, in comparison to other types, is smaller than the American Boxer and wider than the UK Boxer type. United Kingdom Boxer Dog A post shared by Boxergone boxergone Defining characteristic: Considered the most elegant among all Boxers, owing to its high knuckles atop small feet This breed is also called the English Boxer or British Boxer. The UK Boxer stands out for being more lithe, sleek, and athletic as compared to other Boxer breeds. It has a slender musculature and a stylized body that allows for further agility and precise movements. English Boxers have the highest knuckles of all other variants. They are also thought to be the smallest with thinner and shorter legs. However, this does not mean that they lack strength or speed. However, it was the first one to be given official recognition in by American Kennel Club. The breed is the easiest to recognize among all other variants, thanks to the lack of wrinkles in adult dogs. Their coat is also denser, brighter, and stronger than English and German Boxers. The American Boxer stands differently from the English Boxer. This is because of the shape of its ankles, paws, and knuckles. However, it is easy to confuse American Boxers with German Boxers since both of them have the same stance. Life Span Did You Know? The Boxer is one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States. It has been recognized by the AKC since .Although the Boxer dog breed originated in Germany, their ancient ancestry can be traced back to the Assyrian empire war dogs of BC. The modern Boxer breed we know and love today was originally developed in Germany in the late s. English-bred Bulldogs and the Bullenbesiier were crossed to create an energetic and agile hunting dog to chase wild game. The Boxer is a popular family companion and a versatile working dog. As a member of the Working Group, Boxers can be found competing in dog sports like agility, obedience, and herding. They also make great service and assistance dogs, as well as therapy dogs, and can be found working as search and rescue dogs, drug detection dogs, police dogs, and military dogs. The Boxer is a muscular and energetic dog that tends to have a happy, friendly disposition. They bond closely with their families and tend to get along well with children and other dogs. They can even do well with other pets despite their high prey drive if they are socialized and trained with them. As long as they are well-socialized, Boxers are generally upbeat, playful, and friendly. Although they have a natural instinct to protect their family from unwanted visitors, they do tend to warm up once introduced and are happy to make a new friend. They can be prone to barking a lot if you do not work on socialization and training your dog to stop barking early on. Boxers can be highly adaptable dogs. Although they have a lot of energy and are better suited to homes with yards where they can run, they can adapt to apartment living as long as they get the daily exercise, attention, and mental stimulation they need. As with any non-arctic dog breed, they are sensitive to very cold temperatures. Boxers are also a brachycephalic breed, which means they are even more sensitive to heat than other dogs. A Boxer is also one of the most affectionate dog breeds. Because they bond so closely with their families and get bored easily, they should not be left alone for long periods of time. Potential health conditions to be aware of in a Boxer include hip dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, thyroid issues , and heart conditions like aortic stenosis and cardiomyopathy. Good breeding practices make a big difference and reputable breeders will screen their dogs to avoid passing preventable issues to puppies. So, make sure you are asking the breeder about the health and genetic history of the parents and about any health tests that have been done. Boxers are intelligent dogs that are eager to please their owners. Despite their energetic personality, they are one of the best dog breeds for first-time owners and are highly trainable dogs. They tend to excel at almost any task put before them! Because of their open, friendly nature and high energy, they have a tendency to jump up at people in excitement and playfulness. Since they grow into powerful dogs, you will want to make sure you train your dog not to jump up. Boxers have smooth and short coats that will shed a little year-round and require minimal grooming. A brush-down once or twice a week and the occasional bath as needed will keep their short coat healthy and looking great. Nail trims once or twice a month are usually enough to keep nails from growing too long. Checking ears weekly and carefully cleaning as needed can help prevent ear infections. Checking and wiping their facial wrinkles weekly or a few times a week if your dog is prone to getting into things can help keep their wrinkles clean and free of irritation. Dental diseases, like gum disease, are the most common health issues in older dogs because dental care is often overlooked; and, it can lead to other serious health issues. Brushing daily, plus cleanings at the vet when needed, is ideal. The Boxer is a high-energy dog breed that needs plenty of daily exercise to stay happy and healthy. Due to their high prey drive and urge to chase, they should only be let off-leash in secure areas. Boxers tend to get bored with repetition, are excellent problem solvers, and are naturally exuberant. A fully-grown Boxer usually stands inches tall at the shoulder and weighs pounds. Boxers generally live years on average. In Germany, the Boxer was one of the first dog breeds chosen for police training. Featured Boxer Article.

While some of these minis may closely resemble their larger counterparts, they may not act similarly. Are boxers hypoallergenic? Unfortunately, boxers are not hypoallergenic. What problems do Boxers have? Boxer dogs are brachycephalic, which means they have flat faces. This trait narrows their airway and causes breathing problems. As a result, Boxers should not be out in the sun for a long time as it can lead to heatstroke. Overexercising them must be avoided too to avoid triggering breathing difficulties. How long do Boxer dogs live? The Boxer dog breed has a short lifespan compared to other dogs. He can only live up to 9—10 years, and this is due to the prevalence of health issues in the breed. When buying a Boxer puppy, look for a reputable breeder whose breeding stock and litters are health-screened. I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T. Please stay tuned. And be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates. A note about our process: We are hobby or preservation bulldog breeders. This means that we show our dogs in the confirmation show ring and when we have a nice female or male, we will consider breeding in order to improve the breed and give us another dog to compete in the confirmation ring with. What this means for families looking for a pet bulldog is that typically there will be puppies in each litter that are not suited for the show ring their tails may be too high, for example, or their ears may be set wrong, etc. They are from champion lines, with only small imperfections that make them unsuitable for the show ring. We evaluate our puppies at between eight and 10 weeks to determine who will stay with us to be shown and who will go to pet homes. While we post puppy pictures on our website and Facebook page, not all of these puppies will be available as pets. After a litter is eight weeks old, all of our available puppies will be listed on our website. Our pet puppies are sold with a limited AKC registration. This means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. Please note: We do not ship puppies. We ask that each puppy we place has someone come and pick him or her up. If you are traveling by air, the puppy can ride with you in the cabin. So grab your favorite dog treats and get ready to discover the fascinating world of these miniature marvels. These tiny pups are the result of selectively breeding smaller Frenchies, and they typically weigh between pounds and stand at inches tall. Micro Frenchies have all the same physical characteristics as their larger counterparts, including their bat-like ears, wrinkly faces, and short, stocky bodies. However, their petite size makes them even more adorable and irresistible to many dog lovers. While Micro French Bulldogs are undeniably cute, it's important to note that their small size can come with some health challenges. They may be more prone to health issues like respiratory problems, dental problems, and joint issues. As with any dog breed, it's important to do thorough research and talk to a reputable breeder to ensure you're giving your Micro Frenchie the best possible care. The Micro French Bulldog as we know it today did not exist in Ancient Greece, but the breed's ancestors can be traced back to the Molossian dogs of that time. These dogs were large and powerful, used for hunting and as guard dogs. Over time, the breed evolved, becoming smaller and more compact. Fast forward to the 19th century in England, and we see the emergence of the modern-day French Bulldog. These dogs were bred as companion animals, smaller versions of the English Bulldog that were popular with the upper class. They quickly became a fashion accessory, with many wealthy women carrying their Frenchies in small bags. The first records of smaller versions of the French Bulldog come from the early 20th century, when breeders began selectively breeding for smaller sizes. These early versions were known as "Toy Bulldogs" and were popular in England and France. It wasn't until the midth century that the term "Teacup French Bulldog" or "Micro French Bulldog" began to be used to describe these tiny pups. Today, they remain a popular choice for those looking for a pint-sized companion that's big on personality. How the Micro French Bulldog Gained Popularity The Micro French Bulldog has gained popularity in recent years due to its irresistibly cute appearance and charming personality. Social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok have played a significant role in increasing the popularity of this tiny breed, with many influencers and celebrities showing off their adorable Micro Frenchies to their followers. Another reason for the breed's popularity is its adaptability to apartment living. Due to their small size and moderate exercise requirements, Micro French Bulldogs are well-suited for city living and make great companions for those who live in smaller spaces. In addition, the breed's affectionate and playful nature has made them a popular choice for families and individuals alike. They are known for being great with children and other pets, making them an excellent choice for those looking for a furry friend to share their home with. Finally, the growing popularity of "teacup" or miniature dog breeds in general has contributed to the rise of the Micro French Bulldog. Many people are drawn to the idea of owning a small, cute companion that they can easily take with them wherever they go. Overall, the Micro French Bulldog's rise in popularity can be attributed to its undeniable cuteness, adaptability, and lovable personality, making it a perfect companion for many different types of households. However, the breed is recognized by some smaller kennel clubs and breed associations. This means that any Micro French Bulldog that meets the breed standard for French Bulldogs can be registered with these organizations, regardless of their size. While some people are drawn to the appeal of owning a Micro French Bulldog, it's important to note that there are potential health risks associated with breeding for extremely small size. Responsible breeders should prioritize the health and well-being of their dogs over achieving a specific size or appearance. Top 5 Unique Facts About the Micro French Bulldog While the Micro French Bulldog may be a small and adorable breed, potential owners should carefully consider their health and care needs before bringing one into their home. They may not be the best fit for families with young children, but can make great companions for those who have the time and resources to provide proper care and attention. By understanding these unique characteristics, owners can ensure their Micro French Bulldog thrives in a loving and caring environment. Instead, it is considered a smaller version of the French Bulldog breed. This means that any dog that meets the breed standards for the French Bulldog can be considered a Micro Frenchie, regardless of their size. Despite not having official recognition, Micro French Bulldogs have gained popularity as an irresistible and compact canine companion. They Have a Lot of Health Problems Micro French Bulldogs are prone to a variety of health issues due to their small size and flat faces. Breathing difficulties, dental problems, and joint issues are common in this breed. This makes it essential for potential owners to do their research and choose a reputable breeder who prioritizes the health of their dogs. It's also important to provide proper care and attention to keep them healthy and happy. Their small size and delicate nature make them susceptible to injuries, and they may not be able to handle rough play or accidental drops. It's important to supervise any interactions between children and Micro French Bulldogs to prevent any accidents. Grooming Is Essential Despite their short coats, Micro French Bulldogs require regular grooming to keep their coats healthy and free of tangles. They shed moderately and require weekly brushing to keep their coats looking their best. Additionally, their wrinkles should be cleaned and dried regularly to prevent skin infections. Grooming also provides a great opportunity for bonding and establishing a routine. Temperature and Climate Are Vital Considerations Due to their short snouts, Micro French Bulldogs may have difficulty regulating their body temperature and are prone to overheating. It's important to keep them cool and comfortable, especially during hot and humid weather. They may also be sensitive to extreme cold and should be kept warm during colder weather. As a result, living in a suitable climate and providing proper temperature regulation is critical for the health and well-being of Micro French Bulldogs. However, there are some important factors to consider before bringing a Micro French Bulldog into your home. First, potential owners should be aware of the health issues that are common in this breed due to their small size and physical traits. Breathing difficulties, dental problems, joint issues, and skin allergies are all potential health concerns that owners should be prepared to manage. It's important to choose a reputable breeder and provide proper care and attention to keep your Micro French Bulldog healthy and happy. They are sometimes referred to as "long-haired Frenchies," but it's important to note that they are not a separate breed or variety. Chocolate French Bulldog: The Chocolate French Bulldog has a rich, chocolate-colored coat and is a less common variation of the breed. They are often mistaken for Black French Bulldogs, but their coat has a reddish undertone that sets them apart. It's important to note that some of these exotic French Bulldog variations can be more prone to health issues than other French Bulldogs, and potential owners should do their research and choose a reputable breeder that prioritizes the health of their dogs. These dogs are eager to please, but they can also be stubborn. Research, research research - from reading the AKC website to searching for breeders you should spend the next six months looking at information. Getting a Frenchie is a life changing decision, you don't want to take this decision making lightly. Ask for breeders recommendations - and check several breeders not just one. Most reputable great breeders take a deposits for their pups months in advance before the litter is even confirmed and that is due to the community knowing the reputation of the breeder and the dogs. Check online reviews - so you were told a breeder was highly recommended by someone, we don't believe that's enough information. You should check to see that their online presence matches and people have positive things to say about them. In today's day and age modern technology makes it extremely easy to know a lot of information. If the breeder have any negative feedback we bet you will find it online. Even a place like Facebook page has a recommendation section. Call AKC at to make sure the breeder is in good standing. You should ask the breeder for advice about your French Bulldog anytime your dog has any issue physically or mentally. Ask plenty of questions- Such as are they a full time or hobby breeders? Ask about the history of the mom and dad of the litter and so forth. Breeders should be honest in regards to their litters what to expect in terms of strengths and weaknesses and any genetic diseases that can affect their breed or line. Breeders should be willing to answer any questions you may have and they should also ask you many questions. If they don't ask you anything or the conversation seems too light that's a red flag as breeders want to make sure their puppies are going to a good homes. Are the dogs clean, well fed, and friendly? Does the breeder act lovingly towards the puppies and their adult dogs? Both the puppies and adult dogs should be outgoing with the breeder and you. Look for red flags such as protruding rib cages, lethargy, runny nose, skin issues etc. Congratulations, you have found the right Frenchie breeder.Anything other than this guideline is a red flag. Don't be surprised if-the breeder asks you to sign an acknowledgement or memorandum indicating you will return your French Bulldog back to the breeder in the case you can no longer care for your dog. This is a normal request and will be asked by most responsible ethical breeders. Be wary of a breeder - if they refuse to give you AKC papers or offers papers from a registry other than the American Kennel Club. Another red flag is the breeder hesitating to give records for any vet exam, immunizations or any other medical documentation. If any of the above happens in the last minute we would recommend you re-think bringing that Frenchie puppy home. Misleading information of the miniature Frenchie There is very little information on the micro Frenchie and very little awareness on how they are bred. There is also a lot of incorrect information of a mini Frenchie and claims that are just unreasonable and not based on any scientific evidence. Naturally, the pups will be mixes of the two breeds, so the breeding needs to be repeated across several generations until the puppies have all the physical traits of a Frenchie and retain only the small size of the other breed. There are many factors that influence the cost of a Teacup Frenchie however coat color generally has the greatest effect. Rare coat colors such as merle are significantly more expensive than common coat colors. It is a better idea to get a standard-sized French Bulldog as they are generally healthier and will live longer. Check out the adorable Goldendoodle puppies that are currently available here! PuppySpot is a dog adoption website that connects breeders with prospective pet owners. They have a zero tolerance policy for puppy mills which is why they screen every breeder annually! They have placed over , puppies in homes and offer various trusted, USDA-certified transportation options to deliver your puppy to your home safely! They can either have solid coats of these colors or have patches of them. Rare colors include blue, lilac and merle. These colors are already hard to find for standard Frenchies so you are even less likely to find them for Teacup French Bulldogs. Their coat can also be described as a silver color. Many blue french bulldogs have a white patch on their chest and either light grey or pale pink in their ears. They often have blue or green eyes. You can read our full guide on Blue French Bulldogs here. Cream Teacup French Bulldog Cream Teacup French Bulldogs feature an off-white coat that can range from an almost white color to a rich yellow. Cream Frenchies usually have pink inside their ears and have light brown noses. Their eyes are usually dark brown or a greyish-brown color. Many Fawn Teacup French Bulldogs have blue eyes however others have grey or green eyes. The insides of their ears are usually a pale pink and their noses are the small color as the fur on their muzzle. Usually the base of their coat is tan and there are faint black stripes over it. The stripes are quite subtle and blend into each other so they sometimes look like a dark brown dog. They have blue, light grey or amber coloured eyes and a pink tint on their muzzle. The lilac coat color is a result of a mutation in the MLPH gene codes for a protein called melanophilin that results in a dilution of color. You can read our full guide on Lilac Frenchies here. Merle Teacup French Bulldog A Merle Teacup French Bulldog carries the merle gene which dilutes certain sections of their coat resulting in mottled patches of different colours and patterns. It also affects eye colour and skin pigmentation on the nose and paws. The most common merle coat colors are Blue Merle or Red Merle.

Pugs may be small in stature, but they have big personalities and are extremely intelligent little dogs. They are confident by nature with an affectionate and mischievous side to their natures that endears them to just about everyone they meet. They adapt well to family life and other lifestyles which are just some of the reasons they have remained just as popular today as they were centuries ago. Pugs have been around for a very long time with records of them dating back to BC in Ancient China where they were bred and owned by Emperors. The common people were not allowed to own a Pug and if one of these treasured dogs was found in their possession, the punishment was death. Pugs were so revered at the time, they even lived in their own part of a royal palace and were attended on by their own servants too. Although the exact origins of Pugs remain unknown, they are considered one of the most ancient breeds on the planet. Originating in Ancient China where only Emperors could own a Pug, these little dogs found their way over to Europe when China allowed Dutch explorers to trade in their lands. It is said that sailors smuggled these little dogs out of China and once back home, they were an immediate hit with the nobility and upper classes due to their small size and sweet natures. At the time, Pugs were different to the dogs we see today because they had longer faces and legs. They remained popular throughout the 18th Century, but they fell out of favour for a short time after that. In , a new type of Pug was imported from China and these dogs boasted shorter noses and shorter legs. During the 20th Century, it was the Duke and Duchess of Windsor who once again bought the breed into the limelight, taking their pets with them wherever they went. What are the most interesting facts about Pugs? Are Pugs a vulnerable breed? Height at the withers: Males .However, their heads are quite big in relation to their bodies and they are round with short, snubbed black noses which are quite large in relation to the size of their heads. Their defining physical features are their expressive, large, dark eyes and the adorable wrinkles around their faces. There are two kinds which are the Button Ear and Rose Ear. Their mouths are very slightly undershot which adds to their overall appeal. They hold their strong and thick necks slightly arched which gives the Pug their proud look. Their forequarters are robust, well-muscled and strong with nicely sloping shoulders. Their hindquarters are strong and well-muscled and Pugs boast strong looking and well-developed back legs. Feet are tidy and neat with well-defined toes and black nails. Their bodies should have well-defined hard muscles which should not be confused with a Pug being overweight. When it comes to coat, a Pug has a short, glossy, smooth and fine coat with a well-defined black line that runs all the way down their backs. They also boast a nice dark mask and their markings in their coats are well defined. What colour should coat my Pug have? How should a Pug move? Their front legs move strongly and their back legs move freely with feet always facing forward. Pugs show a slight roll in their hindquarters which is typical of the breed, but this should never be exaggerated. What does the Kennel Club look for? It is also important for male Pugs should have two testicles fully descended into their scrotums. Does a Pug have a good temperament? Pugs are renowned for their kind, sweet natures which is why they have remained such popular companions throughout the centuries. Some people say that sharing a home with a Pug is more like living with a small child than a dog, which is especially true when it comes to their need for attention. Pugs are ultra-sociable and they thrive on being around people. They do not do well when left on their own for longer periods of time. If they are left to their own devices for hours on end, Pugs can become a little destructive around the home through sheer boredom and because they develop separation anxiety. It would be fair to say that Pugs need more time spent on their training than a lot of other breeds just for this reason. Another nice trait is that although they are very affectionate, Pugs are not clingy although they do like to be with the people they love, but when they have been given enough attention, a Pug will quite happily go off and do their own thing. A well socialised and trained Pug is a joy to have around and they thoroughly enjoy being the centre of attention loving nothing more than to play the clown. There is a downside to sharing a home with a Pug puppy though and this is that they can be notoriously difficult to house train. Is a Pug a good choice for first time owners? Pugs are a great choice for first time dog owners providing they have lots of time to spend with their canine companions. Pugs form strong ties with their owners and never like to be left on their own for too long. What about prey drive? Pugs are feisty by nature and although they will give chase to the cat from next door, they do not have high prey drives preferring to get on with everyone because they are so social by nature. Are Pugs playful? Pugs are known to be real clowns and love entertaining their owners. Being the centre of attention makes these little dogs very happy. They adore playing interactive games and will spend as much time clowning around with their families as they can. They are known to be quite child-like and remain so well into their mature years. What about adaptability? Pugs are highly adaptable and do just as well living in an apartment as they would when living in a house providing they are given plenty of mental stimulation and daily exercise. Pugs need a lot of mental stimulation and they enjoy playing interactive games indoors which means investing in some good quality, robust toys. What about separation anxiety? Pugs form strong bonds with their families. They like being involved in things that go on in the home although they are not known to be clingy. With this said, it would be very unkind to leave a Pug on their own for any length of time because they are so people-oriented and if they do find themselves alone, it can lead to a Pug suffering from separation anxiety which often sees a dog developing unwanted destructive behaviours. When this happens, a dog might start barking excessively too which is their way of relieving any stress they are feeling. Will a Pug bark too much? Pugs have funny voices and are not known to be overly vocal although some of them are barkers and others are much quieter. They are intelligent and can be taught not to bark without a reason, but this needs to be done without being too hard on a young Pug which could end up with them being timid and shy. Most Pugs develop barking issues when they are unhappy at being left on their own or when they have not been correctly socialised at a young age. This typically ends up with them expressing their feelings through excessive barking. Do Pugs like Swimming? Pugs do like swimming and will instinctively take to water when the weather is warm. However, a dog must never be thrown in because it would just scare them. It would also be a mistake to put a puppy or a young pup in water unless it is bath time that is. Because of their short noses, care should be taken when a Pug goes swimming because water can easily get up their noses which can cause them all sorts of breathing problems. Is it easy to train a Pug? Pugs are intelligent little dogs however, they do boast a bit of a stubborn streak in them which means it takes a firm, yet gentle hand when it comes to training them. It is also essential for owners to be consistent and always fair, because Pugs are quite sensitive by nature even if they are stubborn at times. Pugs respond well to positive reinforcement and will not do well if they are handled roughly. They do not answer well to harsh training methods either and the same can be said of how they are told off. If this is done too harshly it could have an adverse effect on a dog rather than a positive outcome. Will a Pug be good with Children and Other Pets? Pugs are renowned for their genuine love of children. They are robust little dogs that enjoy being around kids even when playtime gets a bit on the rough side. Pugs are also known to be good when they are around other pets and animals which includes cats. They rarely show any sort of aggressive behaviour towards other dogs or pets which is another reason why they are so popular the world over as family pets and companions. However, as with any other breed, Pug puppies need to be well socialised from a young age so they grow up to be confident, outgoing and well-rounded mature dogs that take everything in their stride. We hope that everyone understands our concerns. Parvo Virus: people can bring that virus in on their shoes, clothing and skin. Just about everywhere. This virus can wipe out a litter within hours. Puppies are very vulnerable to these kinds of diseases; their immune systems are developing and are unable to fight off this disease. Coccidia: Another disease that can wipe out a litter of puppies. It also can be carried in with shoes. But most of the time, puppies will ingest it by eating stool or breathing in the spores that are left on the ground. Stress on the mother: This could lead to inadequate milk supply for the puppies. Loose bowels and lack of appetite. We want the mother to care for her babies as long as she can, as she gives them the immunity that they need to fight off diseases, grow and get strong. We will be taking videos and pictures. We will try to post weekly, so that everyone whom is adopting one of our puppies can see them grow. I don't think this will cause an issue since most of your puppies are adopted out of state. Thank you for your understanding. The foot had already started to heal and a callous formed and so re-setting the break was not possible. It was thought that amputation might be needed, however, the vet decided to give her some time to see how she got on. Cinderella has been with a foster family and has been using her foot, she does run, play and jump and so thankfully amputation was not needed. However, where the break was and callous has formed, will be weaker and it is recommended jumping be limited and supplements to help strengthen her bones be given. The shelter is willing to forward x-rays to the adopters veterinarian who has the software to open the radiographs. She may occasionally need pain meds on cold days or at times when she has been a little too energetic and she will get arthiritis in the future so it is important to discuss with your vet for high quality supplements, food and potential treatments for arthiritis. The genes of his signature trademark, his big bat ears, are strong and usually come out in his mixed-breed pups. Frenchton French Bulldog x Boston Terrier Image Credit: Kwaterman, Shutterstock The Frenchton has two very similar-looking parents, so you will know roughly what to expect in both his appearance and personality. He is charming, loving, and energetic, and he needs an owner who can handle his sass. His coat will be short and shiny, and his skin folds will need extra cleaning attention. He is a mischievous little guy who is always up for a bit of fun. He loves to be with his family and will bark at anything and everything that comes near his master. He is feisty but seriously cute with his bulging eyes. His most appealing feature is that he is likely to shed much less due to his hypoallergenic Poodle genes. His coat will need a lot of attention to ensure that his curls do not tangle. He is a happy-go-lucky soul who loves to have a good time being involved in all the family fun. Be sure to keep an eye on him, because he will eat everything in sight and become obese if you allow him too. It will keep him very warm in the winter, but too hot in the summer, so keep him as cool as possible. He will probably inherit the blue tongue , curly tail, and stocky frame. He is likely to be independent and as cool as a cucumber. French Pomerbull French Bulldog x Pomeranian A post shared by Edda the frenchiepom eddathefrenchiepom The French Pomerbull is a very fluffy guy who has a real zest for life. His coat will shed heavily, but he will make up for it in cuddles and kisses. His squarer head and big bat ears can often make it look like his head is far too big for his body, but he is still adorable. This French Bulldog mix loves to cuddle with the children in the family, and as with any Pitbull mix, be sure to check your local laws and restrictions before committing to him. His ears are huge and pointy, and he will probably be the king of head tilts. He will usually take the black and brown colors of his German parent , with a short to medium-length coat. So, if you have a small apartment but are looking for a protective house dog, this breed may be the one for you. Despite being a protective pooch, he is a softie at heart. French Bullweiner French Bulldog x Dachshund A post shared by Bindi Walsh bindithefrenchweiner The Bullweiner is a long dog who will inherit the short and stumpy legs of the Dachshund breed , complete with big paddle paws. He will be a lot chunkier with extra rolls, so be sure to clean them properly. He is a funny little character who is very affectionate with his family. So, if you are looking for a Frenchie lookalike that will not forever be under your feet, this guy might be the one for you. He might be a little difficult to train, but he makes up for it in his handsome looks. Expect a Frenchie lookalike but with really long legs. He is a fun and goofy mix that will keep everyone entertained for hours. He has a booming bark and makes an excellent watchdog. With his short coat, it can take any color, but harlequin is very desirable. So if you are looking for a dog that will never leave your side, this guy could be your best bet. French Bullrador French Bulldog x Labrador Retriever A post shared by Hrvoje Kaposi mrvoje81 The French Bullrador is very energetic, and he loves an enjoyable romp in the garden or adventure to the local doggy park. He is also partial to a dip in the local lake, and retrieve anything you throw at him. He is also intelligent, so you best keep him entertained. His coat will be short, and his tail will be long and curly. French Corgi French Bulldog x Corgi A post shared by rossfarm rossfarm The French Corgi is another short and dwarf-like pooch that has a wide smile, stretching from big bat ear to big bat ear. His infectious smile will cheer you up on rainy days, just be sure to keep up with his energy needs. He also gives the best cuddles, good enough for royalty. Often looking like a round cloud, all you will see poking out of his coat is his large ears and cheeky smile. He will make a great family addition to those with younger children, and will happily keep them company all day long. Otherwise, he will become naughty and destructive, and he can be quite the powerful pooch. His short coat will usually take the colors of the Boxer, but his body will be broad and stocky whoever he takes after. French Buillon French Bulldog x Papillon A post shared by nixted nixted The French Buillon is a friendly dog who will get along with every member of the family , even the felines. He has a well-balanced personality, but he can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for too long. His coat will be short, with feathering fur around his tall butterfly-bat ears. This guy will not like the local rats or your pet rodents, so you best keep him on a leash when out in public. Short and smiley, this guy is gorgeous. French Schnauzer French Bulldog x Miniature Schnauzer A post shared by whereispoopa whereispoopa The French Schnauzer is a fairly stubborn dog who will pretty much do what he wants when he wants. But this is all part of his charm. Although his bark and personality are just as formidable, he is teeny tiny in stature. This toy pooch is very charismatic and will have everyone giggling for hours. But hopefully, this has given you an idea about what you can expect from a Frenchie. As well as some of the best mixes available. Most of the mixes have chubby rolls and bat-like ears, which combined make him irresistibly gorgeous. A Frenchie Labrador typically has the facial features of a French Bullabrador, with its bat ears, dark, big eyes, square-shaped head, round forehead, and short muzzle. Meanwhile, it has the body shape and structure of its parent Labrador. But, in general, a known attribute of this dog is its friendliness to kids and other canines. Both parents are intelligent, making Frenchie Labradors bright dogs as well. They can easily pick up commands, but training can be quite challenging as they are stubborn. Both of these pooches are known for being great companions, so expect a Frenchie Pei to be a nice home buddy. They are laid back and would be fine just observing their surroundings quietly. Shar-Pei French Bulldog mixes are fiercely loyal and affectionate to their family, but to strangers, they may be aloof. These pooches are low-energy dogs that have minimal exercise needs. These canines are gentle, affectionate, and friendly, contrary to their intimidating looks. The French Pitbull gets along with kids and other dogs, provided they are accustomed to socializing at an early age.
