However, his life took a turn when he ended up in a scary place called "The Shelter. Bishop weighs around 55 pounds, and he wants the ladies to know that it's all muscle. But don't let his muscles fool you, he's as sweet as sugar and listens better than most men. He has a mix of boxer, lab, and pitbull in him, but his handsome looks mostly come from his pitbull side. And yes, the ladies love his guns! Unfortunately, Bishop's previous foster home had cats, and they didn't get along well. So, he's currently back in boarding, where he enjoys the company of other dogs and a kind lady who takes him for walks and plays ball with him. Bishop absolutely loves his toys and chasing balls. He can get a bit "mouthy" when teased with toys, but he redirects nicely. He enjoys going for walks, but if he spots a bird, rabbit, or squirrel, he's off like Richard Simmons in a workout video. However, he responds well to correction. Bishop is a goofball who doesn't take much seriously, except for treats. Treats are serious business to him, and he'll do just about anything for one. He loves peanut butter in his kabobs but avoids rawhide to maintain his playboy figure. With his big smile and awesome personality, Bishop hopes to find his forever home. He's fully vetted, which means he's had his shots and is neutered. He is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms using a method called Slow Kill. Bishop is an easygoing, sweet, smart, happy, cuddly, and laid-back dude. He loves exercising, playing catch, and chasing balls, but he also enjoys relaxing and taking naps. He would be more than happy to lounge around in bed and watch TV with his humans. A perfect day for Bishop would involve the three C's: chasing balls , catch, and chill. He simply wants a best friend, someone to love him and give him the attention he deserves. A house would be preferable to an apartment, but he's open to trying out apartment life if it's a good fit. Bishop is currently in training now and is available for adoption or foster. To learn more about him and start the adoption process, reach outr to us. Wecan provide you with Bishop's portfolio and an application for his forever home. Bishop can't wait to give you wet kisses and steal all your blankets.

Igneshof Boxers come from a long line or working dogs. It is my goal to breed and raise quality, healthy boxers that can provide their new homes with a lifetime of love. The regimen of vaccinations and de-wormings followed by Timberline Boxers are far above the standard. All puppies will be checked by a very respectable veterinarian at a minimum of 3 times prior to being 8 weeks old. First health checks come at 4 weeks, then 6 weeks and a final health checkup before the puppies go to their new homes. Full European Boxers from Timberline Boxers will be provided with a 3 year health guarantee. The pet pugs were highly valued by Chinese Emperors, and the royal dogs were kept in luxury and guarded by soldiers. In Tibet , Buddhist monks kept pugs as pets in their monasteries. Pugs were painted by Goya in Spain, and in Italy they rode up front on private carriages, dressed in jackets and pantaloons that matched those of the coachman. They were used by the military to track animals and people, and were also employed as guard dogs. His self-portrait , which is now in London's Tate Gallery , includes his pug, Trump. Every carriage I meet here has a Pug in it. Many responded to the breed's image of anti-functionalism and diminutive size during this period. The modern pug's appearance probably changed after when a new wave of pugs were imported directly from China. These pugs had shorter legs and the modern-style pug nose. The British aristocrat Lady Brassey is credited with making black pugs fashionable after she brought some back from China in .Hogarth's painting from the 18th century depicts the originally longer muzzle, as well as the picture in a edition of Brehms Tierleben. Since there has been a trend in some countries to breed "retro pugs". Following the deaths of pugs and other brachycephalic breeds, several airlines either banned their transport in cargo or enacted seasonal restrictions. Pugs have elongated palates. When excited, they are prone to " reverse sneezing " which causes them to quickly and seemingly laboriously gasp and snort. The veterinary name for this is pharyngeal gag reflex and it is caused by fluid or debris getting caught under the palate and irritating the throat or limiting breathing. Reverse sneezing episodes are usually not harmful, and massaging the dog's throat or covering its nose in order to make it breathe through its mouth can often shorten a sneezing fit. In serious cases, it makes breathing even more difficult and puts added pressure on the larynx. If this happens, one should inquire with their veterinarian whether or not surgery is needed to open the nostrils. If the prolapse happens on a regular basis, the pug might require surgery. This condition is caused when parasitic mites, that are often present in a dog's skin without causing symptoms, are allowed to do damage because their host has a weakened immune system. It is a problem for many young pugs, although not usually a major one, and is easily treatable, but some are especially susceptible and present with a systemic form of the condition. The condition occurs when two parts of a spinal vertebra do not fuse properly while a young pug is still growing, resulting in an irregularly shaped spinal cavity which can put pressure on the spinal cord. Pug photo, ca .Note its small head and long legs. A pug by Carl Reichert. The pug that was predominantly featured in the commercials was Cheeka. A few other adverts also appeared in the following months, inspired by the idea of a dog following a boy.
Map Wally is a wonderful and handsome 4 yr-old Golden Retriever. He is not your typical Golden for a variety of reasons. He weighs 63 lbs so is smaller than any Golden male 4 we have owned. We love his size as does practically everyone he meets. He runs like a thoroughbred horse and loves agility challenges. His smooth and silky coat is also huge plus. People are amazed when they pet him. He was easily trained and will do anything to please. He loves area dog parks and gets along with all dogs. Another big plus is that Wally is not afraid of loud noises and never even whimpers during thunderstorms or fireworks. He travels easily. He swims nearly every day and has had no ear infections to date. Nor does he have any allergies or skin issues. Wally has not been hunted because of owners age. Wally has so much hunting potential—he has a great nose and loves retrieving on land in water. His endurance is remarkable because of his athletic body and conditioning. Our vet says he is an amazing physical specimen. However, as time evolved we realized we had a great dog with physical attributes that stand out from the crowd. Others agree including a prominent Golden breeder in Minnesota who is a close friend. Wally has been genetically tested and the report is available upon request as are vet reports. They have a stunning coat and are available in colors varying from red and cream to black and gray. In addition to their physical features, the following are some of the traits that make Goldendoodles one of the most desired dog breeds and why you should get them. Goldendoodles are rarely aggressive and love the attention they receive from other people and animals. Also, Goldendoodles are prone to getting separation anxiety when left alone for a long period. Therefore, even if you prefer staying indoors, Goldendoodles would happily stay with you if you play with them and keep a check on them at regular intervals. Also, you would probably get your Goldendoodle puppies in Maryland pre-trained with the ability to follow basic commands and socialize. In addition to it, you can also teach them basic tricks as they are quick learners and stress-free to train. Therefore, if you or someone staying with you is mildly allergic to fur, especially dog fur, you can still get a Goldendoodle. Goldendoodles have a thick undercoat and need a haircut every seven to eight weeks and additional grooming of nails. However, you should avoid bathing your Goldendoodle puppies frequently as it would result in them getting dry skin and infection. Also, the hypoallergenic trait of Goldendoodles would reduce the irritation of cleaning your house to remove dog fur. However, they are prone to various genetic health problems that affect mainly their knees, hips, and eyes and can be detected under genetic health testing. Apart from this, Goldendoodles are health conscious as they need a minimum of half an hour of playtime daily. In addition to it, they love swimming and also make the perfect hike companion if you like to explore new places. Allergy-Friendliness Price No Labradoodle is guaranteed to be hypoallergenic or non-shedding. However, with those positive qualities come a few drawbacks. A curlier, Poodle-like coat requires more frequent brushing and grooming. Additionally, Labradoodle generations that have a greater likelihood of being allergy-friendly and non-shedding will cost more. This is largely due to high demand for hypoallergenic and non-shedding dogs. For more information which generation you should choose, check out our complete guide to Labradoodle generations! Cost of Living Cost of living varies significantly across the United States and the world. As cost of living rises, so does the price of a Labradoodle. Depending on where you live, it may be beneficial to take a mini road trip and drive a few hours to a breeder further away. Doing so could potentially save you a substantial amount of money. What did they do to get such a good price? In some instances, they may have been given a puppy for free after someone they knew had an accidental litter. However, in most cases, the answer is they adopted a Labradoodle instead of purchasing it from a breeder. Adoption is a great option to consider. Even if you were able to find a breeder with Labradoodles for that little money, it raises a big red flag that they may not be reputable. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I also recommend you stay away from pet stores when looking at puppies. Click here to get an instant, online pet insurance quote from Healthy Paws! Color Labradoodles come in a wide variety of colors. There are solid choices like chocolate, cream, apricot, and black as well as multi-color patterns like merle, sable, tuxedo, and parti Labradoodles. In most cases, black is the least expensive Labradoodle color. However, keeping your options open to a variety of colors and choosing your future puppy based on their personality over their color is my recommendation! Reputable breeders can only supply so many puppies, so when there is an excess in demand prices can go up. One example of this occurring regularly is around the holidays. Like any other breed, Labradoodles are often gifted to children or spouses for Christmas. Because demand is so high around the holidays, many breeders increase their prices for Labradoodle puppies that are scheduled to go home in December. Why Are Labradoodles So Expensive? So, why are Labradoodles so expensive? Labradoodle prices are so expensive because poodle mixes are extremely popular due to their adorable looks and their potential to be low-shedding and allergy-friendly. Reputable Labradoodle breeders often have waitlists that extend many months into the future because they struggle to keep up with demand. You will almost certainly be asked to place a deposit for a Labradoodle puppy. This is a completely normal practice that secures your spot for a particular litter. It is extremely important that you do your research on a breeder before placing a deposit. You want to weed out puppy mills and backyard breeders before being financially committed to purchasing a puppy. Additionally, there are scammers who prey on eager Labradoodle buyers. These scammers, often found on social media, can be very convincing and use stolen photos to secure a deposit and then promptly disappear. Avoid these scams by finding trusted breeders through personal recommendations and other reputable sources. Visit them in person or at minimum have a video call to verify they are a legitimate operation with puppies available. Make sure your Labradoodle puppy has had a few essential health procedures before being sent home with you. They should at least be up to date with their first round of vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, deworming, and an overall health check by a veterinarian. Some breeders even extend this guarantee up to 2 years in length. Your Labradoodle puppy will usually be sent home with a few additional items. This often includes a small bag of food, a collar, and a toy or blanket that smells like their littermates. The smell provides them comfort during their first few days in their new home. Unfortunately that number is not even close to being accurate. While this is not actually required, it is highly suggested since it covers vet bills and emergency treatments for injuries. Most of these are optional except for emergency treatments. Owners who need service dogs should be prepared to spend more on special training classes. Dog Walking: Getting a Labradoodle means you get an active dog. For times when you cannot take your dog for a walk or play with them, you can hire a dog walker instead. Medical Emergencies: Expenses for medical emergencies are preferably avoided but are to be prepared for anyway. Accessories and Clothes: If you enjoy dressing up your Labradoodle, you would also want to buy different clothes and accessories for them. There are a lot of places that sell these, so you can either save or splurge. Again, these expenses can arise at specific points in time and can be optional. They also depend on you and how you want to spend on your Labradoodle. You can actually look for this popular breed from breeders or rescue shelters. Money-Saving Tips for Labradoodle Owners Knowing that taking care of Labradoodles costs a significant amount, any Labradoodle owner would want to save a few bucks in any way they can. To help, we came up with some cost-effective ways to care for your pooch. Here are some ways to cut down on expenses for your Labradoodle: Groom your Labradoodle at home. While professional groomers can save you time and provide proper grooming thanks to their training and skills, there is no doubt that they can charge quite a bit. Learning how to do basic grooming yourself, especially since this hybrid has a low shedding coat, can surely save you some money. Grooming sessions at home can also serve as quality time with your canine companion. Make dog food yourself. Store-bought dog food and treats are convenient, but the cost adds up. You can try making dog food at home, instead. Not only does this allow you to control what exactly you are feeding your pet, but it can also be cheaper. Buy good-quality items. Getting items that are of good quality and durable can be more expensive at the time of purchase but will actually save you money in the long run. Take your Labradoodle for regular vet visits. Emergency treatments and procedures often cost more than regular vet visits and can help you avoid an unhealthy puppy. Knowing what items to invest in and what to avoid can significantly reduce the cost of owning a Labradoodle. A little creativity and strategizing will go a long way. The expenses for this designer breed are far from cheap. However, you should know that this is nothing out of the ordinary since many popular crossbreed dogs also have similar costs. If you are one of the many people interested in Labradoodles, I hope this guide has helped you decide whether owning one is worth all the investment. We would love to hear your thoughts and insights in the comments below! Owners of Labradoodles are also welcome to share their tips and experiences on the different Labradoodle costs. Australian Labradoodle Sizes: Australian Labradoodles come in these size ranges: Micro mini Australian Labradoodles are " to shoulder and grow to be 10 to 15 lb. We occasionally have them here and there but it is hard to determine which are truly micro minis since puppy choosing happens at 6 weeks of age when all our puppies are tiny. Our miniature Labradoodles are " to the shoulder and around lbs. Our miniature Labradoodles or minis are the result of a miniature Australian Labradoodle bred to a miniature or medium Australian Labradoodle. The vast majority of our puppies fall into this category. Medium Labradoodles are " to the shoulder and weigh 30 to 45 lbs. Standard Labradoodles are about 20" to 22" to the shoulder 45 to 60 lb. The breed standard for "Standard Labradoodles" is 20" and up. We do not breed standard sized Labradoodles in our breeding program. Coat Types: Fleece: also known as borderline or wavy, is soft to the touch - an allergy friendly coat. It can be curly or wavy. Wool: also known as curly, slightly coarse feeling to the touch - an allergy friendly coat. Hair: also known as flat or slick coat, this is a shedding coat and is NOT allergy friendly. Grooming requirements of Australian Labradoodles: There are several factors to consider in grooming your Australian Labradoodle. One is: how long do you want to keep the coat, or what look are you going for? The "shaggy" look is most popular and they can be groomed just a couple times a year. If you keep your pet indoors most of the time you can get away with an occasional bath and brushing every few days. If you want the shorter look, which requires less brushing you will want to groom your pet every couple of months. The next thing to consider is coat type. A curly wool coat is not one you can keep "shaggy" but would tangle and mat if let grow long - they should be groomed every months, depending on care given. A fleece wavy coat will allow for the two different grooming options I spoke about and is the most desired Labradoodle coat. The other coat options we do not breed as they often produce shedders - that is why we breed multi-generation Australian Labradoodles, to produce the best coats and temperaments. A Labradoodle is a highly adaptable dog breed. They do very well in homes with space to run and they can adapt well to apartment living as long as they are given plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They also do well in most climates. As with any dog breed, they are sensitive to extreme heat and cold. Because they enjoy being around people, they do not generally like to be left alone for long periods of time. They can also become bored if not given enough attention, exercise, or mental stimulation, which can result in destructive behavior. This dog breed is generally healthy, but they do have the chance of inheriting common health conditions from both of the parent breeds. Be sure to talk with the breeder about the genetic history of the parents and ask to see any health clearances; this can help allay potential health concerns. A Labradoodle tends to be eager to please and highly intelligent, which makes them highly trainable. They are a good fit for dog owners of any experience level. As with most dog breeds, Labradoodles respond best to training that is consistent and uses positive reinforcement. There are some grooming tasks that are common to every dog breed. When it comes to coat care, it can vary with a Labradoodle. Poodles have a low-shedding coat that is also high maintenance in terms of brushing, trimming, and professional grooming. Labs tend to have a higher shedding coat that needs minimal brushing and grooming. For the most part, a Labradoodle will have a low or non-shedding coat that will need to be brushed a few times a week. But, they can have a higher shedding coat should they take after their Labrador parent. You may also need a few professional grooming sessions throughout the year. Nail trimming once a month is usually enough to keep movement comfortable and prevent longer nails from snagging on things. Proper dental care for your dog will help prevent gum disease and tooth decay. Drop-down ears are more prone to infection because floppy ears are more likely to trap moisture, dirt, and debris. This will make grooming throughout their life a much more enjoyable process for both you and your dog. It can even become a bonding time for you both as well. Labradoodles tend to be high-energy dogs. They require a few daily walks plus some time to run and play in order to stay happy and healthy. They certainly love to play and you may tire out before they do sometimes. They may calm down a little as they get to be a couple of years old, but they tend to be quite energetic as puppies. Going swimming with your dog , taking a hike with them, going on a trip to the dog park, playing a game of fetch, and more are all great supplemental activities to ensure your Labradoodle gets plenty of exercise. You can even train them to compete in dog sports like dock diving, flyball, agility, obedience, and more. A fully-grown Labradoodle will usually stand between 21 to 24 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh between 50 and 65 pounds. Labradoodles generally live 12 — 14 years. However, it did not become popular until when the mix was specifically bred to create hypoallergenic guide dogs. Featured Labradoodle Article. Fortunately, Massachusetts has many great breeders that do their job with the purest intentions. However, not all of the breeders strive for the same quality and ethical breeding practices. To achieve this, they conduct extensive health and genetic testing to minimize the risk of the puppies inheriting any serious genetic conditions. That being said, ethical breeders also provide at least a two-year health guarantee that covers any major and life altering genetic conditions that the breeding dogs have been tested for. All of those organizations are focused on ethical breeding practices and require their member breeders to adhere to their highest health testing standards. Additionally, if any of your friends, family members, or neighbors has recently adopted a Labradoodle, reach out and ask about their own experiences with Labradoodle breeders in Massachusetts. They breed both American and Australian Labradoodles in all sizes. Tango Wool Labradoodles is a small breeder and all of their pups are home-raised. Most of their breeding dogs live with loving guardian families so that the breeder has plenty of time to focus on each puppy during their first 8 weeks. What Makes This Breeder Unique? We are raising our family in Mendon, MA in a 's farm house that we have been renovating since .We expose them to all the sights and sounds of busy family life. Our goal is that all of our dogs grow up to be mentally, physically and emotionally healthy so that they can be active members of their families for many years. Health Testing One of the benefits of purchasing an Australian Labradoodle is the required health testing of our Breed Club. The Australian Labradoodle Association of America requires that our breeding dogs are tested for hip dysplasia through an OFA and any eye abnormalities through a CERF test preformed by an eye ophthalmologist. Each breeding Dam and Sire are tested for Patellar Luxation and Cardiovascular Abnormalities by a certified veterinarian. Australian Labradoodles Bloodlines Australian Labradoodles are unique to Labradoodles because of their multigenerational bloodlines. Even when the other types of Labradoodles are bred on for generations, the result is not an Australian Labradoodle, as the attributes of the infused breeds were not included in their ancestry. Many allergy sufferers my son included are living happily with Australian Labradoodles. A Furever Friend Australian Labradoodles are famous for their affectionate, happy go lucky personalities. They bond deeply with their families but are also happy to meet new people! They love to play ball in the yard or go for a hike but they can also spend a day lounging in house with the family! Tango Wool Labradoodles is located in the hinterlands of Western Massachusetts in the heart of the beautiful Berkshire mountains, close to the borders of New York, Connecticut, and Vermont, where I have lived with my two daughters for over 38 years. Animals have always been one of my greatest loves and I feel blessed to have been part of the dog world for most of my life. My work with dogs eventually led me to become a hobby breeder, raising English Labradors of the highest caliber, all from champion lines and bred for the best possible health and temperament. It was a wonderful venture, and now I am applying all that I have learned to breeding what I believe are some of the healthiest, happiest, and most beautiful Labradoodles anywhere. My interest in the breed was sparked when I heard of their allergy-friendly qualities a few years ago, at a time when my own grandson was having a hard time dealing with his allergies. Thus began my quest to acquire the best Labradoodle I could find. I wanted one that could measure up to the same standards as my Labradors, with thoroughly health-tested parents and grandparents and a gentle, loving, and trainable temperament. After a year of doing my homework I bought a gorgeous Labradoodle from a breeder who I thought had incredible dogs, and introduced her into my home. We were thrilled.I put my labs into guardian homes and only had my Labradoodle at home. .I was sold on Labradoodles! No sneezing! Not only was my grandson not allergic, the dog herself was amazingly smart, kind, gentle and athletic. We could play all day and when it was time to come home and chill out she could switch gears effortlessly. I continued my experiment and had every test done on her required by the Goldendoodle-Labradoodle Premium Breeders List of which we are now a proud member , and found she passed every tests with flying colors, in fact, with some of the best hip scores Tufts University had ever seen. That piece of advice convinced me to follow the path I've been on ever since, and resulted in the birth of Tango Wool Labradoodles. My dogs live in the house with me or outside in our beautiful fenced-in backyard, using the kennel actually a mini-apartment inside the main house only occasionally if I need to be away for the day. Some of my dogs are also placed in Guardian Homes where they get plenty of love and attention, only coming back to Tango Wool to have their puppies. We breed beautiful Australian lines and gorgeous American lines! Please go to our Facebook Tango Wool Labradoodles where you can see our reviews, people's comments, and a lot of the fun stuff we do! Please enjoy! Tango Wool is a small operation, and it's going to stay that way.I intend to continue to hike, swim, kayak, and love my dogs! Please feel free to call or email me with any questions you might have; I can be reached 7 days a week from 9 a. EST or any time via email! Thanks for visiting! Our two founding females were pure American and over the years we have added lots of Australian and a few more American bloodlines. All of our breeders are family pets that live in our home with us or in their own guardian home. This way they can retire with the family they love and grew up with. I am a proud breeder of Labradoodles and take great pride in the puppies produced here. Our pups are socialized with adults and children of all ages starting at about 4 weeks. They are exposed to lots of sights and sounds and new things each day. We have personally found Labradoodles to be amazing family pets. Labradoodles are loyal, playful, extremely smart and great companions to their human families. You can train them to do just about anything with the right guidance. Labradoodles often have low to no shed coats and usually are allergy friendly. But be aware there are no guarantees that they won't shed a little. Our goal is to do our best to produce non shedding or the lowest shedding pups that we can. In the 20 years I have been doing this we have so far not produced any puppies that shed. My clients become part of my family and they are the reason I do what I do. Their follow ups with me always warm my heart and remind me how lucky I am to be able to do breed these amazing dogs. It is a passion for me that I cannot explain.
